I was lucky enough to see them back around 09. Big ass blizzard coming down with whiteout conditions but we all made it there. By far my favorite concert. His banter between songs just helped us connect so much more. "Why are we in here tonight? We're in here tonight to quit hanging on, to let fucking go. This is more than a fucking rock concert god damnit. This is therapy for your soul. To show that deep inside of your core there's more than a job, more than money. There's fucking friends, fucking music, and a badass time to be had in this motherfucker. I'll you one thing, right now. It's the only thing that makes me feel good. Nothing makes me feel good. I'm miserable. I'm depressed. I'm out of my mind, because I am the negative motherfucking one, don't forget it." I'll never forget that little speech. Watching this just reminded me that even though he's 50 now, he's still putting effort and emotion into it. Sounds pretty damn good to me. Thanks for helping me relive a bit of the past.
They should just go down one more half step so hes not straining so hard. Other than that he did way better than the first performance since they fixed the sound issue
@@kingragnarlothbrok5835 agreed. It's one of those things where if you've listened to those songs for so many years and you hear the lower tuning and your brain is like "What the F*CK is going on here?!" lol
@@endlrls Haha, I mean it works for songs of L.D 50 cause that album was actually in Drop B but all the albums after that were in drop C and to me it sounds not right down tuned. Personally, I think drop C worked fine too for songs of L.D 50 but they probably returned to drop B for Chad's voice. (I do wonder why they never played it in drop B back in 2000).
@@kingragnarlothbrok5835 Good ear, man . I have a space in my heart or Ld 50 and Lost and found and love the tunings on both. My ear did a double take when I heard "Happy" in Drop B. Have a good one, man! great music Nerd chating!
They sound great! Chad is looking...well fed. LOL! Got to see them in the mid-2000s, they killed it back then! Was shocked when they went into "Mercy/Severity", my favorite deep cut of theirs!
