If Ryu, Akuma and Bison From Street Fighter Ever fought in the KOF League, Those three will just be Average Fighter's, those three wouldn't be that tough. Street Fight is just "More Popular" and more well notice in North America, KOF is more vicious, comparing it to street fighter.
Actually both games are relatively even. I prefer KOF regardless. However, check a video on how strong ken masters is. That would give you an insight that sf is also not a joke
