I bought a few of these. The looper works but it repeats the original signal quietly and doesn't seem to do a great job at playing loops right away after it plays through once, there's like a second delay after each loop.

The modulation pedal is really cool but the knobs are so sensitive that it's hard to dial in a good tone. It can produce some really crazy sounds I haven't found elsewhere in a budget price range. It definitely not a pedal that you can just leave the parameter knobs in the same place and flip through effects and get a good tone. The vibrato, tremolo, and rotary speaker are the best sounds. Everything is decent though.

Yes, those Roswell filtertrons are good pickups. Euro's can get them at Music Store Koln as aftermarket pups for like 30€ a piece.

On the tone stack issues, either they are not spending much time choosing the pot tapers in the tone pots, or maybe the volume controls are basic and rolling off the highs when you have the volume set anything below 3 o'clock. Maybe try the dirt boxes gain down volume up and see how the tone pot reacts.

A Tube Screamer always sounds muddy and weak when plugged into a clean amp, it's supposed to be used with a dirty sound.

Love this, big fan of inexpensive pedals, caline has alot of good stuff pure sky (Timmy like) it's awesome also Mosky pedals Dec Buffer lives on my board it's a nice boost and their Blue Delay is great. Looks like the treble controls on the drive pedals are just a high end roll off, like the passive tone controls on a guitar. Not a big problem, as long as you know what to expect...

Yes. #notaguitarist :D NOT only that but I paid a meagre 13GBP for it: sadly MUGIG pedals are no more on AmazUK Now I have a Q if I may: what other FX-pedal 'genre/style' would go nice with synths other than delay? #modulation? #somethingeclectic? #quirky? - or maybe u can recommend another delay that does something different than the mugigEchooos..... what would that in all your wisdom be?

5:04 that noise was immediately caught. You should run a wet dry rig to show gain stages and phasing things. My description of your perfect tone. Out of Phase Bigsby Tele with gated fuzz and a self oscillating delay 10:30 it's got a fuzz character. 👍 12:40 seems like the Normal setting worked nice everything dimed the bright cleaned up better. That Pi fuzz kills this 25:10 nicely used. 29:50 precisely why we watch almost expect a surfer glitch Beck meets Beach Boys with Jimi Hendrix.

Try the Donner Golden Tremolo and your search may be over. It’s simple but sounds great. I’ve got 3 and I honestly might like it better than my flints trem!

Yeah it definitely doesn’t get super choppy even at full on....another hidden gem is the older Biyang Tremolo. It has a slight volume drop that you can fix easily, but it sounds really great. As does the Joyo tremolo for that matter, but it has a slight boost as opposed to a volume drop. It can almost double as a clean boost if need be. Pretty amazing how many great cheap pedals are out there now.

I have a Mugig SSH Strat, I got it for $48 on Amazon Prime day. It had horrible fret sprout, no biggie, and shitty pickups, but for $48 it's the best very cheap guitar I own.

I think the Modular is my favourite as it's a really cheap box to make weird noises, though I don't think any of them sound like classic mod pedals. The trem isn't bad. I imagine there is no analog dry through.

If you want the best $20 Tube Screamer ...try the ...TUBE SCREAMER DEMON ...yes that is what it called and it does not have brand name on the pedal. It has your standard level, gain and tone ...but also a switch that says TS 808 and TS 9. The makers swear it is the 'closest' you can find. :-) ...you can get on AliExpress.

There are alot of gear review-type channels out there and what makes one work is, other than the gear, the presentation. Your show is a good blend of casual, humorous, varied and informative. You seem like someone who'd be fun to hang out with, you care about the technical but don't go overboard with it-- you care about the sound and the feel. Plus, we have similar taste in tone and an appreciation for tonal applications. I'd be curious if any of your music is available to listen to? Cuvave' Fuzz arrived, and it's a wicked little witch. I use it straight, with some reverb and sometimes with an EQ after it to exploit it's given crusty tone. Thank you for the demo, that and the little Nuclear Yellow Submarine Azor Fuzz have been great additions to my spice rack. Looking forward to more. Stay of out sight and stay safe, sir.

@Neon Thunderbird I have a plumes and it's fine, solid 8/10; it's like $140 in europe though. I was asking so I can recommend something to people who want something closer to $20 since that's the topic of the video. Right now i recommend that demon one from aliexpress (sounds exactly like my keeley modded one, I prefer it just a lil bit more than my favorite plumes mode) or the joyo one. Those are $20 and $35.

You could tell with the modular pedal the sounds that you expected to like, you didn't immediately crank everything full clockwise but instead searched for the sound most commonly used.
