ASA brother, yes start now!!! I just found out I'm pre-diabetic. My doctor told me no carbs. I also started water therepy. Insha'Allah I can get out of the wheel chair. May Allah give us strength too do this.

Don't see food as something that has to taste good. Just eat the right healthy stuff and only aim to feel satiated, no matter how the food tastes. (Stop valuing taste over health.) At the end of the day, if you ate three burgers or chicken with salad and a bit of rice, you will feel satiated from both of them and won't care how they tasted. You can literally eat anything as long as you stay in a calorie deficit and do weightlifting. I recommend a diet high in protein (2g of protein per kg of body weight daily) because it's good for muscle and keeps you satiated the longest.

Adjust omega 6 to 3 ratio, go below 4 to 1, your fats will burn, and your desire to excessive eating will go.

Don't worry akhi there are bodybuilers on wheel chairs who are below 10% body fat. If you check youtube you can see them doing pulls from their wheel chairs.

@@KaanfitnessUk I’ve lost about half the weight I want to lose so far I am intermittent fasting with dry fasts as well, some upper body weights exercise and limiting food intake and just eating healthy. Eating twice a day is better than three times. Breakfast + Dinner. During workdays. Lunch + Dinner. During free/holidays. And no snacking! and no beverages!

@@abdulaly8123 assalamualaikum, brother meat is not bad, you can lose weight even if you eat meat, in fact meat is the best way to get into ketogenic diet, but yes vegetables are definitely healthy, however as human beings there are certain proteins needed by our bodies that we just cannot get through vegetables but only through meat, also there are many vitamins that can only be obtained through meat, according to research the best option are eggs, they have lots of proteins and very convinient and you can control the portions easily, overall try to stay balanced

Ameen, mah Allah protect this brother and spread his message everywhere. I have gone from 500 to 310 pounds (ALHAMDOLILAH only by the mercy of Allah). My mom passed of diabetes, my dad not doing great either. My MOST universal advice for any age group/gender/condition: 1. Eat home cooked food only, made from whole ingredients only. Meat, veg, fruit, lentil at the core, just cook them and make them taste decent. Dont overdo it. 2. Walk. Whatever exercise you want on top, go for it. But start with walk, and don't let it go. Keep increasing the distance and time if you can 3. Drink water (1/3 water hadith for a reason). 4. Sleep early, wake up early. Quick tahajjud doesn't hurt, but then back to bed. There's a ton more things I can say but these 4 things are subhannallah life or death and universal regardless of any other circumstance. And obv make Dua. Salam laykum.

Countless JazakAllah khairan beloved believer brother. Top to bottom, you spoke the truth. I've been following the Sunnah lifestyle for the last 6 years. AlhamduliAllah, I don't even need to take paracetamol for a fever. No overweight, anxiety, or laziness. I am always motivated, proactive, and patient, and I love exploring more. I forever left fast food, sugar, soybean oil, deep fry food, processed food, white rice, and wheat. AlhamduliAllah, enjoying every moment, and inshAllah, it will continue till my last breath. Ameen ya rabbal al ameen.

While I agree that this is a excellent diet. Let's not try to equate what is not from the Sunnah, with the Sunnah. Rasulillah SalatusSalam ate wheat, he ate white rice etc. I get caught up with this kind of talk myself. But the Sunnah does not ban these items. Since our food is so highly processed and poison filled by the manufacturers one could definitely cut it out on those grounds. Since Islam forbids the things which have more harm than benefit. But as I mentioned before, it's not from the Sunnah per say.

Especially Muslims do not pay enough attention on healthy eating....I feel it's due to lack of knowledge and not knowing the significance of healthy eating. As you said our men happily and proudly talk about their Pot belly and call it baraka from Allah. It can be due to their foolishness such things are expressed. Well I tried losing weight . I would starve myself through out the day and only drink water or only eat once a day but I had to just accept myself for who I am because I cannot run away front my genes and I am proud of who I am . I am not fat just chubby and I love myself Oh yeah and also when I would starve myself I almost had ulcer but my body did not change my stomach would often hurt but Alhamdulillah I stopped my unhealthy practice Lesson love yourself☺ And also Free palestine❤

Exercise brother, cardio, weight training, calisthenics, etc dieting alone will not help you, think. You not eating will only cause problems regarding your nutritional intake, eat responsively without eating excessively, and exercise to burn the extra fat.

I've done alot of my own research into healthy diet and lifestyle and how to have a mobile body and a strong body and be strong as an individual with different physical activities. And honestly I barely hear, or rather almost never hear scholars or knowledgeable Muslims advise towards physical fitness. Most Scholars I know are fat, and I myself to be truthful tend to take a person less seriously if they are fat and not doing anything to fix it. I will still listen to the knowledge of hadith and take it seriously, but it makes me sad to see so many fat Muslims who are supposed to be the bright lights leading our Ummah.

I hate to say it, but I live in a country, and in an area of it, where healthy foods cost way too much. I can't afford them. I can only afford the cheap stuff which is processed, and there are no Halal markets for 182 miles of where I live.

Being overweight is a symptom, often of a medical condition. See your doctor if you can't lose the weight. It may be worthwhile to be checked for a thyroid condition or diabetes. In Islam, it's also very important to see your doctor!!!! ❤

*Assalam o Alaikum RB, also broiler chicken, which are "fed" with inorganic matters, hormones, antibiotics etc. which when entering our body will make us fat. Also the eggs are without male (Rooster) intervention. Village chickens are grown in organic and are with male in open yards*

Watch your portions, get used to feeling hungry (we should be used to it because of Ramadan) because it helps fight off the urges to eat excessively, keep moving your body, lift weights, stop watching youtube videos :)

Salam alaykum my fellow muslims, I'm kinda obese and I don't care. People will always put you down, since they are caring only about outside appearance. Don't get me wrong: I do exercise and take care of my diet. That's all I can do. My medical pills are causing an unfavourable metabolism. And I do dress normal and use good perfumes. I just wanna say, don't mock others because you put your nose up & think you are splendid and made of gold. Especially if you pretend to give them "advice". Edit: This was motivating!!! Since I'm already giving my best, I gonna practice the 1% method organically.

For my brother's and sisters. I struggled with weight my entire life. Finally I tried keto/low carb. I lost 50lbs in 3 months. Please if you have struggled with weight. Please give it a try. I wish I had done when I was younger. Also, look into getting a cgm monitor. A lot of people don't know what damage sugar does to their body. Once you see your continuous sugar levels you will understand the changes you need to make. I am not judging anyone. I just hope this helps someone for sake of Allah swt.

Being fat itself is not sinful or disliked unless which a lot of the time it usually is being fat is associated with laziness and poor health. But there are lot of people who are fat regardless no matter how much they try. Also I am overweight yet I am way more active than a lot of lazy skinny people I know. Also there is a Hadith which shows one of rasoolullas wife was fatter than his other wives and he had no issues with it.

Nothing is wrong with being, fat, whats wrong is staying fat and doing nothing about it. Allah gave u the body, your job is to make full use of it's potential, you are gifted, some people have missing limbs, show allah the beauty of his own creation, being fat is unhealthy. Staying fat shows your carelessness to take care of yourself when you have the power to change it by working out and excercise while dieting, unless it's due to some kind of illness.

Fasting is very healthy, fast for over 17 hours or even longer. Water only fasts too will work wonders, make sure to get salt and electrolytes though in your water through the day.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَكَانَ ضَخْمًا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنِّي لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَكَ ؟ فَصَنَعَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامًا فَدَعَاهُ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ ، وَنَضَحَ لَهُ طَرَفَ حَصِيرٍ بِمَاءٍ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ , وَقَالَ : فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانِ بْنِ جَارُودٍ ، لِأَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى ؟ , فَقَالَ : مَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّى غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ . انصار میں سے ایک شخص ( عتبان بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ ) نے جو بہت موٹے آدمی تھے ، رسول اللہ ﷺ سے عرض کیا کہ میں آپ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھنے کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا ( مجھ کو گھر پر نماز پڑھنے کی اجازت دیجیے تو ) انہوں نے اپنے گھر نبی کریم ﷺ کے لیے کھانا پکوایا اور آپ ﷺ کو اپنے گھر بلایا اور ایک چٹائی کے کنارے کو آپ ﷺ کے لیے پانی سے صاف کیا ، آپ ﷺ نے اس پر دو رکعت نماز پڑھی ۔ اور فلاں بن فلاں بن جارود نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا نبی کریم ﷺ چاشت کی نماز پڑھا کرتے تھے ؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں نے اس روز کے سوا آپ کو کبھی یہ نماز پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا ۔ Sahih Bukhari#1179 کتاب تہجد کا بیان One of the Ansar (Utban bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him) who was a very fat man, asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that I do not have the strength to pray with you (permit me to pray at home). prepared food for the Prophet ﷺ in his house and invited him ﷺ to his house and cleaned the edge of a mat with water for him ﷺ, he ﷺ prayed two rakats on it. And so-and-so bin so-and-so bin Jarod asked Hazrat Anas (RA) that whether the Prophet (PBUH) used to pray Chasht. So he said that I have never seen you perform this prayer except on this day. Status: صحیح www.theislam360.com It is good to have a slim and smart body but we should not compare ourselves with bodies of that era, mainly because of the difference in food quality and walk. This is not limited to only Muslims of that era, even non Muslims were not having big bellies. In that time, there were no special armies and everybody had to participate in the wars and battles. So everyone was a soldier and soldiers of today are also slim and smart like them. I don't mean to criticize this speech but just present a reason for their smartness.
