@@jasonwilson2763 no, actually it isn't irrelevant. Unless you've been in the ring against another fighter, then you can comment about how much someone misses. One thing I realised about Ali through watching his fights is that he can take a punch. The fact he is so fast and difficult to hit in the first place, then when you do hit him hard, it doesn't seem to bother him. That's so discouraging for his opponents

I've always said that his most underrated attribute was his chin. Some of the tremendous shots he took I have no clue how he stayed on his feet. I think when you talk as much smack as he did you kind of have to stay on your feet lol. Unfortunately it probably added to his troubles later in life

Ali had a granite chin and could take some wicked shots, sadly the brain does not react so well. Ali paid dearly for all those head shots. Frazier was my fave but i loved ali also. Ali's fight with Holmes everybody involved should have been arrested for that fight. Pure freakin stupid greed.

@michaeltrumph121

@@rickyssj7695 Ali did not have an orthodox style and never learned the rudiments of classical boxing. He had many weaknesses and made many tactical errors in the rings: he did not know how to properly hold his hands, or how to duck (he pulled back or sidestepped), nor did he know how to parry or to block a jab. Technically, Ali wasn't a very good fighter, it was due to his physical gifts (speed, reflexes) that he was able to get away with things that would have gotten most fighters beaten up. I'm sorry my friend, but speed and reflexes do not qualify as skills.

Imman tay i get you but I think the problem with today’s boxing is a lack of total talent. Divisions are not very deep with talent. Maybe only the top 1-3 guys are worth anything. Look at D. Wilder. The man can’t put two punches together let alone a full fight and he was champ.

@mikazoftstrom2343 2 года назад
@@Oldschool1522 giving someone a chance makes him a fair champion not a great one. As far as the Fury fight 2, he got cheated? No he didn’t, he got beat down. Hit about 2x more than Fury. He got a boxing lesson. Wilder looks for 1 shot, a big right hand. He needs to set punches up. I say throw 25 jabs per round. With his length and power, this would make him one of the greats. But as of now, he’s a one-hit wonder.

Before Cassius Clay/ Muhammad Ali came on the boxing scene, I had no interest in boxing whatever. Then when the great man himself entered the boxing ring, I was totally mesmerised by him. I thought he was a great fighter, a great sportsman, a great entertainer. He was everything. Someone to admire and look up to - a really amazing human being. Now that he's gone, my interest in boxing has once again gone. But I'll never forget Muhammad Ali, and I still like to watch him, from time to time, on RU-vid. May he always be remembered, and God bless him.
