Nixon ordered the deployment of the U.S. Seventh Fleet to the Bay of Bengal as a show of force to intimidate India. Alignment with Pakistan's narrative: The U.S. supported Pakistan's claim that the conflict was an internal matter, rejecting India's stance that it was a humanitarian crisis requiring intervention. This stance was at odds with the aspirations of the Bengali people. In summary, the U.S. opposition to India's role stemmed from its strategic alliance with Pakistan, geopolitical calculations, and a failure to recognize the humanitarian crisis and the Bengali people's right to self-determination. This stance put the U.S. at odds with India and the Soviet Union, who supported Bangladesh's liberation.

And what India do with Sri Lanka or Maldives, I don't want to comment on this. But what India do with Bangladesh is really concerning. 80% Bangladeshi don't want Hasina, But Indian current govt. blindly support her in 2024 election. That's why our democracy destroyed. Because 2024 election was totally one sided, police stopped us to give our voting right. When someone said against this injustice, their adress became jail.
