Very true! Unfortunately I’ve heard some of our Shias falling into this trap knowingly or un knowingly. Qur’an is universal, and applicable in all times till the day of judgement. If it wasn’t so and if it’s laws and rulings were to change as time passed then Muhammad (pbuh) wouldn’t be the last Prophet and Quran wouldn’t be the last Holy book. In the day of judgement people would turn to God and say That the book he had sent wasn’t applicable at their time so they should be excused because it isn’t really their fault.
