I'm sorry for your loss Sig. We all know nothing lasts forever but to lose one so young is such a hard thing to deal with; we can't really at some level even though we carry on. Take care of yourself. Shaving is self-care and good for you and my what a fine razor that was (and such a surprise to see it; I had no idea it would be featured in an upcoming video).

I cannot imagine what you have endured. All my affection and my condolences...

#1. I could have "Googled" your question but I didn't as for once I didn't know the answer, quite a rare occasion I assure you :P , #2. I completely agree with your approach to shaving with the MÜHLE R41 GS and there is no "BUT" moment to come. I do have a parallel thought on the subject which is, if a person fixates on a particular aspect of something-in this case the perceived aggressiveness of this particular razor, then the outcome is often a self fulling prophecy. Ergo "The MÜHLE R41" will be aggressive and will cut me. On the other hand if the approach is, the Blade is Sharp and will cut me regardless of razor(if I am not careful and focused) because ALL BLADES are inherently sharp then shaving with MÜHLE R41 would be or is no different than any other razor. The upshot of all this is; there would be less apprehension shaving with this tool. #3. Coincidentally, I had this situation with the Vintage French Bakelite DE Razor I mentioned last week. The razor felt(and WAS) as aggressive as a similar Russian USSR Bakelite. It felt like Jack the Ripper but sensation was with a Particular Blade and when I substituted with a Different Blade the sensations were completely different...Just relating my experience. I don't expect this is be considered a necessarily profound revelation. #4. I saved this topic for last since I consider it by far the most important. I understand why you may be quieter in the coming week. It is something to be expected given the circumstances. I wish that I had some means to offer you comfort beyond words. Nonetheless, know that you will not be alone and as much as it is possible I will aid you. Feel free to call upon me if you need a friendly ear. Catch you later. ;-)

Great shave sig. Only have r41 but gives great shave with a good thick soap. Stay safe n strong with upcoming week. Remember those memories.🕊️ By the way have you tried any russian razors. Too bad about the weak-scented soap. I have Wet the Face "Autumn" and it has a very pleasant apple scent with cinnamon undertones. I'm not into aggressive razors but I do wonder if you've used the R41 with a Feather blade. May you find peace and comfort.

Have a nice day my Sig. As you know, I recently lost my father. But in spite of deep sadness I cannot imagine losing my child. I would like to give you my friend a lot of strength. Accept and accept the pain. Your son lives on through you and your family. And he's on the better side, they can see us but we can't see them. This razor is a stunner, I like Proraso a lot, it's great and very cheap for this quality. If I shave with a similar one, I leave it with the beard growth direction on the first pass. I don't dare to go any further yet.
