I also love Muichiro and Tengen reaction when they see Tanjiro. Man, i hope there's a lot of Tanjiro in this world. His compassion. And those two hashiras knows it. Even demons felt it. His words hit them harder than his sword.

I think what this arc does so well is plant the seeds for how the audience will perceive this characters during the final arc, there's little to no time for interactions or fun during that one so it's important that the audience understands who they are prior, Muichiro IS a Hashira, but he is also just a kid, he's 14 FOURTEEN, of course it's important to show that he just wants to care about silly things like paper airplanes or spening time with friends, he's like the little brother of the cast.

Yep, it's easy to forget that these are all literal children thrust into life or death scenarios and many of whom have also suffered tragic personal losses. It's wholesome to see them able to act their age for one afternoon, at least.

I think out of all characters Tanjiro has the ability to break the shell of every hard hearted character, and in the process establish a close bond of friendship. The episodes lately have been incredibly wholesome, but I fear that these are the “calm before the storm” moments.

Reminder that our boy Muichiro is only 14! Younger than ALL of the major characters including the Kamaboko squad ! (Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zen, Genya and Kanao). Mui is super talented for his age !

airplanes didnt exist during this time period so them having paper airplanes makes no sense XD. origami would fit better. though its such a minor detail that it doesn't matter. just found it ammusing.

Demon Slayer is set in the Taisho era which was from 1912 to 1926. The Wright brothers had their first plane flight in 1903. Also, one of the world's first airline companies, DELAG (in Germany), was founded in 1909. So the concept of paper planes here isn't really an inconsistency.

@@DarthLinpaws huh nvm then. just figured they still use horse drawn carriages so no cars and didn't cares get invented before planes. but yeah now that I think about it they have massive buildings and tanjiro visited his first city we saw them. also never bothered to look up the exact dates of when the plane was made so I wouldn't know. just went off of context clues on the approximate date which I was not far off from tbh. like 20 or so years off.

@@jdogzerosilverblade299 I definitely agree that things may feel inconsistent, but we also need to remember that we only see them in villages and small towns. Very rarely do we see cities. The one time we did see a city in S1E7 when Tanjiro saw Muzan, we saw tram lines on the roads and also Muzan's family sat in a car and then he walked into the alley where he killed the lowlifes. So there definitely are cars and trams in the cities but they are not widely used outside the modern cities.
