The Finance Commission had declared Telangana to be the only ‘revenue-surplus state’ in the country after Gujarat last year. If Telangana has to retain this tag, it has to ensure higher revenue earnings than expenditure. The audit revealed that the expenditure is surpassing earnings every month due to hiked salaries for employees, crop loan waiver scheme, fee reimbursement, social security pensions and increased rice quota for BPL families.
Venkat Vadlapudi It was a surplus state when it got merged with Andhra State in 1956, now it is surplus state after bifurcation in 2014. The movement was run because adequate amount was not spent on telangana with negligence in all the districts, it is clearly visible how underdeveloped Mahboobnagar, Adilabad, Khammam, Medak etc.. It did not improve even after 58 years in united state.
KCR and TRS destroyed Hyderabad for 14 with a bogus agitation and now running around trying to get investment. These guys stole the crown jewel.Shamelesss, may karma catch up with these guys..I know it will eventually..
