I remember when Disney's "Mulan" first came out in theaters when I was younger and have it's been one of my favorite Disney movies since...so many memorable quotes and songs! This is my take on the piano for the part in the movie where Mulan makes the decision to cut her hair, defend her family and restore honor.

I’m upset this song wasn’t in the live action movie or for that matter that the movie didn’t give this scene as much screen time as it deserved.

Been looking a while for this song, I just rewatched Mulan the other day and I just had to play that dramatic part on the piano! Can't believe you only released this a month ago, most of the other piano covers out there are 6 years old.

Gianni Mura Mulan is such a classic movie! Glad you got to play the dramatic part on the piano! It’s super catchy. Yeah, I should’ve done my arrangement 6 years ago, but my arranging skills probably weren’t where they needed to be, but I’m glad I finally got it done!

Absolutely love this! Did you use See Music app or another? Also the additional voices add so much to the presentation. Had not thought of doing that. Much to think about. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Donna! Yes the see music app is such a great tool to use! I love having the visuals with the music..I think it adds more to it. Hard part about adding other instrumentals is knowing when and where to add them in the song as to not take away from the purity of the piano sound.

Fantastic arrangement and playing, just, the dispersment/ raindrop-effect is a little distracting. I have some vision problems, so it's a bit harder to follow with the "visual clutter" on screen.

R MH thanks so much for the constructive feedback! In your mind, would it be easier to follow if there were no white particles spraying upwards when the midi notes hit the keyboard?

Hey, thanks for being so positive about receiving concrit. : D It's a scary place sometimes, the yt comments section; you never know people will react. Yes, I think it would be much easier to track precisely when the falling timers reach the bottom without the spray-effect. But if you want to keep it, maybe the spray can hover around the very top part of the display as new timers emerge, though? Like cresting ocean waves are sending them forth! : )
