We've started using cattle panel for our tomato support and love it so much better than tomato cages! Why and how we use grass clippings as a weed barrier.

Thank you so much for the t-shirt ribbon trick. Ive been gardening for 5 years and tried so many different clips, eventually settling on wool yarn - but that can be quite flimsy and has sometimes damaged my tomatoes. I will definitely be using tshirts next year. Thank you so much for your channel and sharing your knowledge and wonderful family. Thank you for inspiring me to get my children out into the garden and fresh air to help me with the garden chores this cold autumn in Belgium, when we would have otherwise cooped ourselves up in the warmth of the house.
Thank you for such useful information. My tomatoes had terrible blight this past summer. You are such a wonderful mother. Your family is so blessed to have you.
I love seeing everyone work together! Thanks for explaining the grass clippings. I always thought it would add grass seed to the garden- but seeing as it’s overrun with Bermuda anyways, I’m going to try clippings!
It will be that time to garden before you know it. Your web site brings back so many memories as a. Child I still use a lot of the things my parent did.
Thank you, this is really helpful to see you demonstrate in your garden. It is wonderful how your family works so well together and have fun at the end too!
Excellent video on setting up the garden. Such wonderful helpful tips. And love watching your family working together and you are a great teacher door them...
Thanks for sharing your garden and knowledge with us all. I am going to try grass clipping as compost/weed control this year. Thank you for the tips. 💞
I just found your videos about a month ago and I’m trying to get caught up. I love your videos and I enjoy seeing your family helping you and being what family’s are meant to be like. All that to say thank you for sharing your knowledge and parts of your daily life with us. ❤❤❤Much love and many blessings to you and yours!
I just stumbled upon your videos! Now I am binge watching. I use the Ruth Stout garden method and have been using grass clippings for my best gardens the last few years. I love to see your family giggling and enjoying life. 😂
Your garden is beautiful! I miss not having a garden , I have four raised beds . I seen a RU-vid video on suckering tomatoes , where they said to leave a little stump of the sucker then they don’t grow out again . So that’s what I did , I’m watching. We also used cattle panels this year . Your husband took the cake on wearing the clips 😂😂
At least the children enjoyed the tomato clips! 😂😂 I named Fiona, Paprika and Gwen out loud in the last scene you showed. My husband just laughed at me and shook his head. I'll use your t-shirt strips idea this year! Thanks for sharing!
I have those same clips and they are terrible lol. They wont even hold up my house plants. I thought it was just me having issues with them so Im glad Im not the only one, However its fantastic that at least they are some what useful for entertainment hahahhahah
I love that you do a lot of your garden work barefoot. But the kids should have ear protection for the pounding in of the posts. We just did ours, and it's so sharp! Excited to see how your tomatoes produce. What zone are you in? I'm close to London, Ontario but zone 6.
