On June 24th 2023 I placed a trail camera on a quiet trail in the woods on Pine Valley Mountain in Southern Utah. Then I checked it again on July 12th. I knew there were a lot of deer using the trail judging by the tracks but I didn't realize that deer were coming through every day multiple times a day! This is just a small fraction of the almost 100 videos recorded during the three weeks. Another thing that surprised me was the fact that the camera didn't record any other animals here. I think that may be due to how the camera was mounted up higher on a tree to get a view over the sage brush. Next time I go up, I'll have a small lightweight tripod so I can mount the camera at a better (lower) angle and hopefully get a wider variety of wildlife.
