Thanks for the video Dejim. Can you make video on how to export cloudhub logs to ELK. Can we do this without disabling logs in Cloudhub and Log them in both locations?
It's a little confusing but from what I understand, you can still log to CH and ELK as long as you configure the log4j appender as documented here: docs.mulesoft.com/runtime-manager/custom-log-appender#create-your-log4j-configuration You still need to check the 'Disable CloudHub logs' checkbox on deployment in order to prevent the log4j file from being overwritten.
Hi Denim, thanks for the nice video. Could you please share your thoughts on the below usecase? I have to setup a two way SSL to outbound requests from cloudhub. For the outbound requests from cloudhub to external applications does DLB has any role in between. The reason to ask this is , I have to provide a CA certificate in the keystore of the application deployed to CH. So do I need to procure DLB and get a custom hostname and get a Singed certificate for this FQDN?
Hi Dejim, I am currently setting up the dedicated load balancer. API which i have deployed is set with http.port - 8091. I have done the same way which you had mentioned in the video. Still, when i try to access the api through loadbalancer, i get 502 Bad Gateway. for Inbound HTTP, i have set ON and not redirect. Thats the only difference which i see from that of in the video. But, even with redirect, it doesn't work. Could you please provide a suggestion to resolve this? or any way to debug if the load balancer routing is working or not?
I got 502 error as well, couple of changes which resolved the issue which may help you. 1. when accessing your endpoint follow this url structure, .lb.anypointdns.net// . 2. mapping rule for this is, input path: /{app}/ target path: {app} output: /
Thanks for sharing..Few questions If i have group server or Cluster. What dedicated Load balancer does in this case? is it do balancing between application workers or servers? Or for group or cluster we have to install external LB tool? Second, i see you have shared we can do redirect in dedicated Load balancer...Can i apply api gateway rules for redirection rule also? If yes where it fit in..Is it between application & LB or before LB Can you give some pointer to set up CIDR Block IP?
The dedicated load balancer is only for CloudHub runtimes. If you setup a group or cluster, those are for on-premise runtimes and it's up to you to provide your own load balancer.
Recommendations for CIDFR block IPs can be found here. docs.mulesoft.com/runtime-manager/vpc-provisioning-concept#faq_how_to_size_vpc Keep in mind that once you setup the CIDR range/VPC, you can't and go re-size it. In order to re-size, you need to create an entirely new VPC and move all apps over.
