His soundtrack and piano playing in The Firm made the film IMHO.....it resonated Memphis-Mississippi-New Orleans as well as appropriate suspense at the right times.
The slow drag off the smoke. The deep thought. Being caught in the wrong place at the worst time... Times were simpler in the early days. Now, it’s all a mess...
I think Psycho II and this Soundtrack are my two all time favorites. I was not crazy about this movie, but the background OST was so good! THE BEST!!!!
The theme sums up the film I think, a mix of moody, sensousness tinged with poignancy and sadness. And I love the style of clothing and cars, and just imagine myself Fedora an all, coasting down a seafront boulevard in an open top Buick with this tune playing!....with Jennifer sat next to me! And you couldn't have chosen four better actors to play the 'Hat Squad' who were in real of course LA's equivalent to Eliott Ness's Chicago 'Untouchables'. I also feel a subtle 'air' of the circumstances surrounding Marilyn Monroe's death coming through in this!
@@gymshoe8862 Yeah, a few years back now I nearly bought Nick Nolte's suit in the picture here from a seller of film props, clothing etc, but it didn't fit at the time!🙂
LOL, I thought I recognized that actor, from LA Confidential. I figured he was the "flavor the month" and was just in a couple of movies around the same time, before his acting career flopped!!! I never saw this movie featured here.
I don't understand why is it always those who up load stuff about media like ost Don't give details about the item like composer writer director year.......
