Interesting. Thanks for giving the information about the highways. I saw some for the first time on the highway and I was considering harvesting some. I was only going to harvest if the plant allowed me to anyways. I would’ve asked the plant before hand if I could and imbued my consciousness with it first. Instead of harvesting by the highways I’ll just stop by and connect with the plant instead and hope to find mullein growing in more wild areas not near any radiation
@@matthewward7230 2nd year of growth the Mullein plant sends up a stalk that produces beautiful yellow flowers then turns to seed, s poo read those dried seeds around the ground right then. I never thinned mine out, I take 1st years plant for root and leave the rest for 2nd years flower harvest. Good luck!
When do you harvest the roots? Spring, summer, fall? I am in WV If growing wild, how do you know if it's a 1st yr or 2nd yr plant? Thank you for all the information
I look for the leaves to start looking not so happy anymore which is in late summer early fall and harvest from those mullein plants that did not produce its flower stalk with the pretty yellow flowers, those are 1st year, 2nd year you only harvest the flowers and leaves since all the medicine from the root went into the flowers. Hope that helps!
@@cindissacredgarden1703 I did purchase ur tincture but it doesn't give me any issues. The actual mullein root does. I made some tea out of it n it's intensely bitter to intake. But, I still take 30 drops of it thanks to your tincture.
@@valvihk3649 Try your mullein root with honey. I think using the Tincture is much more potent, and if you opt for Goldenrod Tincture (another helper for Urinary issues) you may not need the mullien root by itself.
Hi Jeremy, I get asked this question often, the 2nd year root's medicine is all in the stalk that provides the flowers so the roots will not be as potent as needed to use as medicine. It's really up to you if you want to try 2nd year roots
