Wow, your the second bloke that said it was a Ling, wouldn't of thought it would be good eating, very interesting to know, maybe I should try it if I ever catch one again. Not exactly sure how much line I got on it because I've got a 5000 mtr spool of it ,but it says it takes 340 metres, I normally put as much as I possibly can without putting to much on. Thanks mate, much appreciated, yeah I love the Platypus pre-test, been using it for years, swear by it. The abrasion resistance is awesome. Caught a 102 cm Mulloway on 6kg Platypus pre-test in my boat, went around the anchor rope twice. The last 10 metres of the line was shredded, still landed the fish, pretty bullet proof. Yeah I was between 28 and 32 and yeah the big winter tides have smashed the beach cheers

@@ToddysMullowayAddiction yeah that's good to know about the pre-test always considered it for game fishing never for surf but if it has good abrasion resistance then it would work well at salts!

Yeah mate, I've tried other mono brands down there but pre-test has performed the best 👌

Hey mate, yeah I've always tied it that way and it's never failed me, so think it's pretty strong and I've had other knots fail me. Same with my Estuary bait and live bait Rigs, I've always used double loop and never failed me, I'm in to the old saying if you're onto a good thing stick to it cheers 🍻
