This is an Excellent tutorial. I started using Midjourney yesterday and need to have multiple characters in the scenes. Yours was the only video that made sense to me. It's trickier to learn when you are in your late 70s. Thank you very much!!

It's not perfect, but I've tried... Let me know if you have any other ways of creating multiple characters on Midjourney 😀 Also, remember to turn on the Remix mode - just type in /settings and enable it the remix button.

I have a suggestion for a future video that I think many of us would find fascinating: could you create a detailed comparison between ‘character consistency in GPTs’ versus ‘character consistency in Midjourney’? It would be interesting to see which platform offers a more coherent and consistent portrayal of characters across various prompts and scenarios. 🙂 Have you tried "from behind", "back view", "facing away from camera" or "looking into the horizon"? You can also go to midjourney's website and see what prompts others use for their back view.

Great Video. I'm glad to find out that MJ is not totally hopeless when using cref on your own pics. How did you do the eye blinking on the purple dress girl at the very end of the video?

That's great! I didn't really like the cref replicate of myself. Somehow I feel like Midjourney amplifies my flaws more than my good side in the generated images 😅 I used Runway's image to video tool to animate the image and didn't specify any region to move and it just happened to work like that. Guess it's just luck 😛

Yes, you can try Runway and it has a motion brush function, which allows you to control the parts you want to animate :)

Do you have a specific issue when using Midjourney for evening scenes? Have you tried adding keywords like “in the evening” , night time, moonlit? If you want to have more of a cinematic vibe at night, consider the light source.

Hi, I started watching your videos yesterday on this topic as I only just subscribed to MJ. I’m really only wanting to create background scenes for my children’s book, I’ve illustrated the characters. I’ve been holding off subscribing to midjourney until they had a website, as I’m not very tech savvy and discord confused me too much. I wasn’t aware that I wouldn’t be able to use the website yet, which was a bummer, but your videos have helped me navigate the discord version a little easier. So thank you! I think they will open the website for everyone soon so I was actually hesitating on making this one on discord as well...Glad that it helps a bit! Can you elaborate more about scene backgrounds? Like, generating the backgrounds for stories? It sounds like an interesting idea.

Hi Mia, thank you for replying. Yes to the scenes, mainly for storybooks, without the characters. I’ve got most of my character illustrations drawn for my children’s book and wanting to create simple background images to go along with the story. Thinking more indoor type scenes ie a child’s bedroom, or the kitchen etc. I’m such a perfectionist it’s taken me about a year already and hoping to use ai to speed the process up a bit. A lot of the videos I’m watching focus more on outdoor scenes but haven’t found anything yet on indoor. Have a great day! ❤️🇦🇺

When I click on the pan right button, no panel shows up inviting me to change the prompt (instead, a right-panned image begins generating automatically without giving me the option to change the prompt). Which setting activates this feature?

Sorry to miss that. You will need to turn on the remix mode. Type /settings and select Remix from the pop-up and enable Remix (make it green). Then you should be able to use it.

Different tools are good for different reasons. It’s easier to communicate with GPT in human language, there’s more creative freedom in midjourney. Depends on your use case. Also different people have different concerns. Which tool is giving better consistency is a great topic. Thanks for the idea!

I'd say Midjourney is better at generating consistent characters than DALLE for now. I haven't tried Render Net AI but it seems pretty cool 😃

When I click the pan right button, it automatically just starts processing pictures with it panning right and doesn’t give me the new prompt option. Is this because I’m using the iPad app for discord? Is there any alternative way to pan with new prompt or to have multiple characters in a scene?

You can try ‘vary region’ to select part of the image to regenerate and prompt with other characters. 😀

Yes, you can generate a fight or hug scene of the two characters (describe as detailed as you can) and then use “vary region” plus cref to inpaint the character one at a time to get them closer to your characters. Not perfect but you can try.

is there any midjourney pro, who is experienced with multiple consistent characters in different styles? i need illustrations for different books. different detailed scenes with 1-3 consistent characters each. i pay for the projects. on upwork and fiverr they dont have any skill.. just answer on my comment if you think you can help and earn money with it

You can add midjourney to your private server, but your generations will still be searchable in midjourney.com, if you are not in the tier that has private mode. I shared how to add midjourney to your private server on my food video. You can check it out.
