*Hi, Good to see you. Mr. Thumbs up is just waiting for Spring to finish the last on his cabin. We'll do a final tour when completed. A HUGE Thank you for the inspiration you've given. Great video. Love seeing what you experience on your adventures. 😁😁😁* Sharon in SC
That’s great to hear Sharon. Yes definitely a bit cold for you guys at this time of the year. Meanwhile we are sweltering in the heat over here in Australia. 🥵 Definitely looking forward to seeing your cabin tour and I’m glad you are enjoying my adventures.
Hi im enjoying your videos, thankyou. My friend and I did the same hike in November 2020. It was lovely to see all the new growth after the fires. Then we did the green gully track.
Thank you. I’m glad you are enjoying them. Yes it’s been amazing to see first hand the resilience of the Aussie bush after fire. Green gully is definitely on my to do list too. How did you go on that track? I bet you had an awesome time. 😊
@@OutdoorHikingTherapy Well to be honest it was the hardest track I've done. And I've also have hiked the Bibbulmun track in W.A. And the over land track in Tasmania. We still had fun and the mice in the huts are very entertaining 🤣
@@jacquelynbalkin6496 Yes I have heard it’s a pretty hard track. Wow the Bibbulman track is a great achievement too, would love to complete it end to end one day.
Yes it was beautifully quiet and great for the soul. There’s something so amazing about the simplicity of hiking through the bush for days with no distractions. My happy place. 😊
Really sad to see the bushfire ravaged areas 😔 I walked it a few years ago when it was just great. Was looking forward to you checking out the sign posted 1000+ yr old cedar tree on the way and I was hoping for it not to be part of the burnt out area. That cedar tree is still the most impressive tree I've seen in all of my years of bushwalking. I was there at the end of Jan and a swim in the large natural pool at Mulligan's Hut Camp after a hot sweaty day of walking, was a highlight. As a side note, if your going to tackle Green Gully, do it in the cooler months and pack ultra ultra light as its like doing the Corker Trail at Barrington for at least tree days.
Yes definitely sad to see the bushfire damage. I’m glad it’s coming back well though, but will be about another 5 years or so before it’s back to its former glory. Yeah I have heard that the Green Gully Track is pretty steep. I’ve done the Corker before so that gives me a good indication of how brutal the track will be. Thanks for the info and I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
What an amazing hike, such a beautiful place. 👌🏽 Love the way you edit and put your videos together,c too man excellent job. 👍🏽 Just how much gear and food can you pack for a 3 - 4 day trek? Cheers, mate.
Definitely was a beautiful part of the hike. Thank you, I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. My usual pack weight for a 3-4 day hike is around 15kg. I could go a bit lighter if I didn’t take my battery packs and filming gear, but then I wouldn’t get to show people these beautiful places.
@@OutdoorHikingTherapy Cheers mate 👍🏽 Always enjoy your uploads. It's such a relief to see all that new regrowth coming through nice and strong. 👌🏽 Green and black are my 2 fave colours...😁
@@OutdoorHikingTherapy Will do, mate. Just got behind in my subscriptions and am now playing "catch up" 😣 That's what happens when life gets in the way...lol 😉😆
Hi Tracy. I have 2 filters that I regularly use. The one in the video is the Versa Flow which is made by CNOC who also make the water collection bags. I originally got these from CNOC website. But as they are an American company it can take quite awhile to get them into AUS. There is an Australian site though which I have bought through called Ultralight Hiker which has the bags. She also sells the Sawyer Squeeze filter, which is my other go to filter. Lisa is the owners name and she’s a hiker so sells good stuff. Here’s a link to her website. ultralighthiker.com.au/
