Not sure if you sift through the comments on older videos, but I’m planning a project based on this and I had some questions. 1. What paper are you using for the stencils? Is there a certain kind that prevents spray paint from going under more than others? 2. Did you use artist tape or masking tape?

I has a handful of unfinished canvases over the past few years. Hand stretched also. There is a Stüssy shirt someone asked to do one time. It is a ven diagragm of a woman's face, but stenciled. I've had the undercoat for a few years and the plus sign gridded to separate the canvas into quarters. I want to finally finish it. Was thinking of drawing it first with pastel white pencil, then acrylic everything in because by hand is more careful and detail for me. Watching you do this piece reminds me of the Dennis Brown stencil I made 10 years ago. All the arduous work was in the sketching by pencil and cutting with exacto knife. Still have the stencil today. Nice work brodie. Love it...even though years later I am watching this from recommended playlist.

Hey I’m an art educator and a printmaking artist, and wanted to throw an idea out there... You could save yourself a ton of time by making screen print stencils! If you already have the image on your tablet pop it into photoshop separate the layers print them on tabloid sized myriad sheets using a laser printer (not Mylar it will mess up your printer) then just expose them on a screen coated with photo emulsion. Instant stencils no cutting required. If you don’t have photoshop, just trace each color layer on tracing paper and expose that. You could’ve even did a separation for the black outline. Screen prints are a really versatile medium to explore. They don’t have to remain graphic like a t-shirt, you could really investigate the limits of printing. I recommend a screen with at least a 430 mesh

I wasn't sure if you left out the right eye again on purpose at 5:58, 'cause I figured the other half of the other face would cover it anyways...but then you covered everything at 6:09 with the third color xD Plus the blue head looks like 3 colors... Are two of the shades too similar or did you forget one stencil? Anyways, the result is super dope! I'd love to make something like that.

Great work!!! I don't think I would call it stenciling as you do use a lot of hand painting for details and such, stenciling you don't do anything but stencil and paint, your work is so much more than a simple stenciling.this is closer to mixed media, a bit of stenciling, a bit of hand drawing, a bit of hand painting for over all one heck of a beautiful piece of art work!!!!

painting on acrylics over glycero spray paint will have your outlines to crackle over time gotta be "fat on thin" . at the intersection point when 2 figures meet, you should not paint the one's part that's gonna be hidden by the frontone , like that you reduce painting layers on your web and make a more durable painting

If you're using an image that contains shadows and you want to overlap that same image multiple times, like you have done with the heads, then you should do it in the other direction so the light source of the image correlates. Also, try masking off areas on the canvas that you don't want spray paint on to protect it.
