Multi-Objective Optimization: Easy explanation what it is and why you should use it!
Optimization takes place in a lot of areas and has even more potential in areas it isn't applied yet. In this video, you get a brief overview what multi-objective optimization is and which problem it solves! Especially you will realize that every grocery shopping event includes a multi-objective optimization.
In the second part of the video, we explain you why multi-objective optimization is much more powerful than just summing up all the objectives and doing a single objective optimization!

Hey, thank you! Brilliant explanation! Could you, please, share what Python package is the most convenient for the MOO? And it would be great if you can solve 'the beer problem' with this tool in the next video (or maybe recommend some other Python examples).

hey man, I think the graph you showed comparing different beers, I think you wanted to illustrate that maximize the quality and minimize the price and maybe the plot be more of a positive curvature here the low quality beer offers at cheap price and vice-versa, just wanted to point this out, thankyou btw great video

Hey. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. But I did not get how you used the Pareto set to configure the coefficients in the scalarization approach. Would you clarify that?

This is a great video. I have a problem and wondering whether MOP can be used in that. I am doing trajectory reconstruction. There are two sets of data, and using them in a single objective function in an additive fashion gives no improvement. By 'no improvement', I mean after using the two data sets, the reconstruction error is higher than when using only the first data set. This happens because second data set events contain a larger error. Do you think MOP can provide a synergistic effect? I am not familiar with MOP. What I know is that in MOP, objectives have to be 'contradicting' to each other. In my case, I guess my two objectives are 'similar'.

i am a PhD student and now introduced to optimization for my research. my objective is to find the potential of renewables to achieve the Netzero carbon emission scenario of 2050. Now I want to maximize the share of renewables and to minimize the amount of carbon emission in the framework of Pareto optimality frontier (for france and then for the whole european industrial sector). can you please suggest me a little bit that how can proceede. thanks

Very clear explanation and simple to understand. Just the voice needs to be tuned up a bit as I need to maximize my speaker volume to hear your nice tutorial. :)

What is the difference between "multi-objective optimization" vs "single metric optmization + a bunch of constraint parameters"?

How do you find Pareto line ?

The graph you showed is wrong. For the costliest beer, it should be on right side as the price is more on right side .Just to inform you.
