i use a braking resistor with my vfd and at this moment it stops basicly like it locks up , is there a function to soften that a little?

Wouldn't it better to connect a 8 position switch and do a logic in the switch to select all combinations? And in proper order. Not sure if your VFDs support connecting a remote potentiometer maybe to change speed. I know you can get ones with a remote panel. It looks like a nice cheap VFD tho. I am not a fan of the display, it makes menus hard to use. A reasonably sized 128x64 graphical LCD or OLED would do the job a way better, also allow to display both set speed, current speed, and current / load and temperature at the same time. They are super cheap too. 3$ probably. So not much different than 7-segment LCD. I think in terms of user interface GE AG-650 GP and Yaskawa Varispeed G7 drivers are the best.
