This is excellent. I only wish it was more focused on Linux than Windows. Haven't used Windows in years...

Once I've finished the game I'll be porting all the platform specific stuff to Linux and possibly Mac. I just started with Windows so my initial videos can be applicable to the most people

I majorly overused the "static" keyword in this code. You can safely remove almost all of them 😅

Cheers mate 😊 Right now I'm focusing on low level programming with minimal extra libraries, so if Raylib has some functionality I need I'm more likely going to implement it myself. However I'm not ruling libraries out if they're a good choice based on the situation.

I'm on macos. Will I still be able to follow along? Are the platform specific stuff easily googalable without being too demotivating? Whats the overlap between this course and the molly rocket handmade hero? Great series by the way .looking forward to your expanding it.

I've only programmed for Windows and Linux but I assume Mac is similar. If you're able to get equivalent platform code going for Mac you'll be able to follow along with the overall series. At the end of making the game I'm going to show how to port it to Linux and if there's enough demand I'll do Mac as well. I'm not sure how to compare this series to Handmade Hero. My series is intended to serve as a concise example of how to build a complete game from the ground up. My series will be way shorter than HH with a much more limited scope 😅 Cheers mate
