DUDE. thank you so much for these videos. Being able to use the Deluge in this songwriting method is literally having a sequencer for all drums and synths played BACK into the machine, and being able to section out the differet parts... im awful with computers, so i dont use DAWs, but im great with hardware, and this is EXACTLY the invention that i need to make songs. THANKS.
Whoa thanks! Stay tuned they have added arranger automation in the new firmware. When is public I'll be making more you just wait it's going to be great (fade in song fade out song etc)
This series is AWESOME! Thanks so much. I don't have a Deluge but now I want one. I've been trying to do the same thing using the Octatrack. If you did a video on that I would be beyond grateful...or maybe some advice. All the best!
Haha oh boy how to make a song with octatrack? I got mine but I can't figure it out. It's so limited and quirky! I know people love it so much but I don't know if it can write songs like deluge can. So many limitations.... If someone can teach me how I'll make a video yeah
Is this workflow possible with just two machines and no mixer? For instance, if I wanted to use my Arturia microfreak to record the synth lines from that into the deluge but not as an audio file but the way you do it here, being able to see them in the piano roll to make minor adjustments. How would I go about connecting the deluge to the microfreak to achieve this same result?
This is amazing. One thing I'm wondering, how long can you record and how many audio tracks can you have? For example; could I use this mode to slowly convert a song made of full-length midi tracks into a song made of full-length audio tracks? Ending up with something like seven five minute long audio tracks? Then could I record a mix of those audio tracks back into the deluge as a final stereo mix?
@@RonCavagnaro Best I can guess it would be possible due to the way the Deluge streams audio from the SD card. It may come down to the total streaming bandwidth.
