completely agree, especially not knowing how to play around classes anymore coz everyone can have anything. I honestly think they threw in multiclassing to keep us busy coz they werent going to be able to delviery any meaningful content anytime soon

I feel like every melee class should just run barb for the stats then multiclass everything else. Cant wait dunk on people with slayer barb with divine prot and invis ignite haste until it gets super stale and toxic after a week.

They should limit multiclassing to a single perk or skill. But still allowing you to unlock several ones.

Agreed Todd, they have plenty of time and resources to play into a skill tree that either upgrades or modifies perks and possibly gives innate buffs based on which tree you go down that give different effects based on the class sub-archetype you are running like you said earlier (examples of the sub classes already in the game just not fully fleshed out due to no perk tree like pdr fighter, slayer fighter, or battle bard/ supp bard, e.t.c) keep seeing people saying that multiclassing won’t kill class identity when there’s perks and skills on other classes that just perform better at the same thing for another class, what reason does a bard have to go rapier mastery when he can just take sword mastery instead and have a buff for falchion? And then there’s the case of the perks that just are better than anything else the class natively has Barb with war maul and blunt WM is probably stronger than any other combo of weapon perks he has access to natively ? Wizard with lesser heal will be a must have in 10 spell lineup. Idk seems like just a change that has a very small possibility of a positive outcome, and an incredibly large possibility for a negative impact.

I agree I like class identity and I don’t want to feel forced to multi class meta especially since it’s random perks and skills with a grind to lvl

I agree 100% with what you said. I have been here since playtest 2 and I'm more of a casual player. I can't be bothered to level 3 classes to rng create some mutant god class. I would much rather see a unique talent system maybe with some weapon overlap between classes. So yeah multiclassing is an L for me. Even bigger L is gear score system. I'm not going to sit there with a calculator to make sure I'm geared at the top end of the lowest bracket. Not to mention how the upper brackets are going to be actual ghost lobbies but hey pve players will love that. Gear score system is just going to further split the player base even more so than adding a new map ever would. While doing so it's going to solve nothing because ppl will bust out the cal and game the system like they always do. This is a make it or break it point for the game if you. I would rather see them gut multiclassing use some of it to create a talent system. Then remove gear score and lower the pvp power between rarities. Normals should allow green gear so some classes are not stat starved. Blue,purple,lego should all be the same in regards to pvp power. The difference being pve stat increase and quailty of life that might help in pvp. Blues might have more damage to units and less damage taken but units. Purple could have the same plus another stat line that says take % less zone damage or Open portals % faster. Then the devs just have to dial up the pve since we have better gear to fight them. The only exception to this would be named items. I think those items are the apex loot and rare enough to not disrupt the game and should keep their power gap. Awhile back the devs said they didnt' want to increase the gears power through pve stats. I'm not sure why though. To me that's the only option at this point if they want a balanced game that even casuals have a chance at enjoying HR.

Yup, same. Sometimes I play more but I don't want to invest that amount of time every wipe. It' very stupid. It's one of the worst design decision i've seen in a while.

Agree with everything. I think they are to hung up on the idea of making a dnd(not dad) game. But dad is better of being its unique thing. It doesnt need to resemble dnd or other similar rpg-style games. I also see paladin and sorcerer as redundant classes. Just Create subclasses instead. We kind of have soft sub class rn as you said with different builds. They should just amplify that. Distinct class identities is what makes the game fun.

Idk why they thought going the dead by daylight route was a good idea in a game like this. At least that game gives killer unique powers even if the killers and survivors both can share perks. The survivors are literally just skins and that’s all these classes are gonna be with a few minor stat differences. I had just gotten into the game this wipe and by the time I learn what to generally expect from each class they throw this trash update at everyone and turn the whole game upside down. Owned this game since the beginning and never truly dived in until recently but I’m not investing hours into this bullshit system. I’ll be back when they put this whole thing in its own queue or remove it completely.

They had class "trees" set up by the players, honestly think it was the most least productive thing they coulda done. They dont wanna work on it anymore they just want the money and player base atm. IMO

Multi classing is going 10 x the difficulty. I think at that point ima just be playing this game on normals and never ever worry about getting loot or ranking because il break my house playing this game.

not gonna lie, i dont really like the idea of multiclassing, like there are specific classes for a reason. and imagine a warlock with magic missile????? like there are so many possibilities of classes that are just like bruh wtf. i think it might destroy the playerbase but thats just me

Well I'm not youtuber, so I'll say it, multiclass is going to be fun to experiment with, and after a week, it's going to be the shittiest patch in existence. It'll be "get this combination of perks or be useless", without class identity, with some RNG mechanics and grind to get there. I think it's the most stupid shit they've done. Skill tree please.

Yeah multiclassing is hands down worst change to a PVP live service game I’ve ever seen in my entire life. All predictability and balance completely thrown out the window. Not fun. Barely a game any more.

they should delete multi class, keep the reward/learning token system, and only have the generic class master. then expand that to more class specific perk rewards

I reslly enjoy this multiclassing. As a fan of table top dnd and fromsoft games i love build crafting and ill be sad to see the player base hate multiclassing but embrace GBMM. Everybody sucks and hates fun besides me.
