Multicoloured LEDs with integral control chips, prewired into sets of 50. These are WS2811 types with RGB LEDs, so provide a wide range of colours.
The controller is a preassembled item supplied with IR remote control, with various predefined patterns and colours. It is also possible to drive these from microcontrollers which would allow a much greater range of patterns and effects.
The LEDs and controller were purchased from sinonled, www.aliexpress....
The power supply was obtained from a UK supplier.

How do the individual LED driver PCBs downregulate the 5V to 20ma CC or whatever? IE Linear voltage regulation or Switch Mode / PWM? Just wondering about the electrical efficiency of this light source.

Can you control 5 different strips of 5 meters with one remote controler? Will i need 5 led controllers for each strip of 5 meters?

These are not strips, but each controller can theoretically supply hundreds of pixels. However at long lengths there may be problems with the signal degrading, and the power requirements would mean multiple power supplies spaced along the length of the string.

Silkroomscuft No stated rating, however the LED is plastic, with a plastic covering over the circuit board, and the whole thing is filled with resin - so virtually impossible for any moisture to get inside. Power is 5V DC, so no danger of any shock provided the power supply is an isolated one.

***** It says on the Aliexpress site that it has an IP68 rating. I don't know if this is true, but it seems like it as of what John stated.

200 WS2811 14 X 9 MM. How many watts I need? I have 5V on al everything! But I will only use the green cinnamon green & plus volts!

+TOMMY HANSSON 20mA per colour, 60mA for all three colours. With 200 of them that's 4A for one colour or 12A for all three. 20 watts for one colour, 60 watts for three colours.

Hello, if someone can help me? i have the same controller that in this video, but i have a problem, when i turn off the light and it was in white fuction for example, when i turn on the light again it is always start whit red colour, why can happen that?

Depends on the controller, some have the memory function to switch on at the last setting, others may not have.

David Morris Yes, that was when setting the number of elements using the remote control. The set shown has 50 elements, if the controller is set to less than 50, those at the end of the string will not work.
