actually yuta was the one who encouraged shotaro to speak japanese you can see renjun and a couple of other members turning to yuta but he directed the attention towards shotaro probably to express how he feels to debut in a language he is comfortable in !!

I think because he needs more recognition since he’s a new member 🥰

Also Yuta is very fluent in korean (and doesn't mind speaking it) while Shotaro isn't as good at it yet - I guess Yuta and the other NCT boys just want him to be comfortable.

Just so you know, I am not being offensive because Shotaro speaks Japanese instead of Korean. I just mean it’s yk, cute when the one who introduce them in Japanese is the new member instead of the senior and it kinda make me feel like Shotaro is better at Japanese than Yuta at this point. But seem like I didn’t express it that good.

@@donji6732 yeah I'm from Germany and I had to learn 3 languages in school, but I learned other ones by myself in addition to that. At this point I'm fluent in 5 and basic level in 4 languages, more to come. It's confusing af but awesome at the same time lol

Renjun is one of the best fluent korean speakers in NCT's foreign line, he even uses korean idioms and knows a lot of cultural things (like quotes from old famous kdramas or songs), he even corrects korean members pronounciation and grammar. He seems to be good in english too but doesn't show it often (HRVY said Renjun helped translate for him when he was in Korea to meet Dream)

imo its not hard if you get a lot of repition of words (this is as a multilingual person) and since renjun has been speaking korean for years it is easy for him to switch quickly. same with me. just practicing can do wonders.

@@daegaliii how we survive? use the national language ☺️ it's called bahasa indonesia that all indonesian know that language but sometime they using their own language too if they r same tribe :)

@@daegaliii well not all of those local languages are used in our daily lives of course T_T. since every part of indonesia is very hetero, there's a majority of people who still use their own local languages at home or when they have family gatherings or stuff. but when it comes to hanging out with a large group of friends/ official meetings we usually use our national language bahasa indonesia. or sometimes we use broken english ( a mix of indonesian and english and other words that are completely made up ) ☺. ok i just wrote a whole paragraph lmao. sorry for that.

I relate to you because i can speak fluently English and French and my parents are Indian so i'm learning Hindi and Punjabi so that i can communicate with them and my grandmother, so i mix both English and Hindi together, so yeah, i can relate.
