Depends on the multimeter - this was a $10 multimeter so I'm assuming it will be within 10-20% of the true value. Nicer multimeters will be much more precise, as specified by their datasheets (which list their capabilities). Your cables will also affect the precision in a manner that is hard to predict, so if it feels "wiggly" then your precision will suffer.
