2:56, my sweet beloved. Golden year of gaming, so many top S tier game titles released that year. I was the squeaker at 6-7 playing Halo 3, CoD 4, Orange Box.etc. Good times.
The first CoD was a WWII game before they moved on to Hollywood and Fortnite shit, so yeah. Even title Call of Duty had meaning back then now its just title of franchise that means nothing.
@@CoolDrifty I mean the first CoD (UO expansion and CoD2 too) was a WWII shooter with a simple to basically no story, no cinematic/Hollywood cutscenes, no plot twists etc. just real events, some history lessons, and the music fits the concept well in my opinion. As per the original comment, the music sounds like it's trying to honor to the soldiers who fought in WWII instead of sounding badass or pumping out more action into game.
@@Extreme96PL that could be true, you may be right about how early CoDs were intended. I still think that World At War's music is superior from that perspective though-- it's dark, disturbing, haunting, not glorifying, like war actually is. Definitely more of an embellished campaign, but honestly if the game is gonna make you a supersoldier that can take on armies by yourself, it might as well be fun.
@@Extreme96PL they were made during when everyone was making WW2 shooters Cod made the best ones at the time but when everyone was getting bored about WW2 shooters they made MW4 to mw 2 to 3 etc i wouldnt say cod was always meant to be "Serious" But neither was suddenly "Fortnitey" I mean BO2 probably the last best best cod of the late 2000s had skins for guns you had to pay even dlc packs
The black ops series always had bangers for MP music. Mainly, BO2’s Adrenaline BO3’s Ignition BO4’s Inferno CW’s Rising tide. Can’t wait for Black ops 6
My favorites are the COD 3 Theme just sounds like your ready to rush into the horrors that were WW2, or Black ops 1 the same music was used for Mason going to visit JFK and just hearing that in the background while going through The Pentagon was amazing.
Cod4 will forever have a place in my heart, once you press Xbox live and that little high pitch scratching noise it makes when you have attachments unlocked and ranked up 😍😍😍

Cod4 is my favorite of all time. There is just such a “Tom Clancy/tactical conspiracy story” vibe to it. The colors, music, sounds, everything is perfect

@@jackkenny4194 Honestly, BO2 was my last CoD game and the time I started to move away from the series. I also didn't like or play BO2's multiplayer as much compared to older CoDs, but I still think BO2 has one of the best single player campaigns in the series.

Man Black ops 2 will always have the badass menu music of all time. They did it so different and just made a banger!! I hope we get something like this in black ops 6!
