As a result of the January 5th incident involving an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) launched an audit of Boeing's 737 MAX production processes. In a shocking revelation, the New York Times reported on March 12 that the aircraft in question had failed 33 of 89 tests! This was just one piece of shocking and embarrassing news related to Boeing and its production process.

Airbus does not want and cannot profit from the Boeing quality disaster. All Airbus production lines will be at full capacity until 2030. If American airlines now want to switch to Airbus, other airlines would have to forego their deliveries or postpone deliveries to 2030. So there is no reason to be angry with Airbus.

Boeing's newest aircraft, the 787 and the 777X are also marred with quality issues. How will the 797 be any different?
