@@CallMeAhSirHKP I’m not sure Parks Bureau has volunteers always a possibility though. The white cars are used my multiple non sworn positions (Security Officers, Volunteers on Patrol, process servers, LET’s)

In the city of LHH one of sheriff cars is a white crown vic like the torus but the vic is staffed by a normal deputy. Mainly deputies who pick up easy shifts here.

@@minibinwaredisposaldude5641 No, they are LASD Security Officers. They are fully armed and have vehicles but they don’t *usually* respond to calls it any unless it involves the lot or county building they are protecting.

I’m not too familiar, however, I’m assuming that they don’t play a big role on a call like this. As you said they are volunteers and so the deputies usually handle business that are crime related. Therefore, in this situation the volunteer most likely assisted them with traffic control, crowd control… etc. Regarding the role of the Taurus in general. This specific unit along with the FPIU responding are Parks Bureau units so most likely on their free time they’re patrolling the parks, doing parking enforcement or whatever detail they are assigned to. It’s the same horn that LASD uses, it hasn’t changed.

The 2018 explorers,Tahoe’s and newer vehicles with LASD use a different airhorn. But the airhorn is the same airhorn that the vics and older vehicles use kinda.

The old horn they used for their cars that were from 2013 and below. Sounds like a whelen

No probs, gonna try my best to explain. The city (Hacienda Heights) where this video was filmed in does not have a police department, therefore the LA County Sheriffs has jurisdiction. The reason why it is the County Sheriff’s is because the city is inside of the Los Angeles County. Now, Hacienda Heights is about 20-30 miles away from the CITY of Los Angeles (big tall buildings and lights) which is the jurisdiction of the LAPD. So to sum it up the: 👮‍♂️LAPD covers Los Angeles City 🤠 Sheriffs covers Los Angeles County (cities without police contract or unincorporated cities inside of Los Angeles County) Hope this helps

So Police are for cities who have formed their own police within their walls, and Sheriff's patrol the areas and cities which do not have their own police within the county. Thank you very much. It's a very simple system here lol. Each county has its own police force, some work in collaboration for some things. The *Metropolitan Police* are well known for being the police force of London, but they have nation wide jurisdiction, partially limited in Northern ireland. This is why sometimes in films you'll see a detective come from "Scotland Yard" the head Met building, to go for investigations around the country.

@@supertrinigamer I might also add that typically city police do not run jails or protect the courts, the sheriff's department (or in most parts of the US still call sheriff's office) are the ones running county jails and protecting county court houses I could also get into detail about how departments like the Las Vegas Metro Police is essentially like a sheriff's office and Metropolitan Police as well, but to be honest even I'm confused on how law enforcement operates in states in other parts of the US, especially on the east coast

So sheriffs departments usually contract the cities that don’t have a police department for policing

And yet if the sheriffs department or city police does not have jurisdiction in a city then CHP comes into play
