This electronics video tutorial discusses the basic elements of a multistage transistor audio amplifier circuit. It explains the importance of the bypass capacitors as it relates to voltage gain and distortion as well as the importance of the potentiometers for volume control and managing the input voltages. It also mentions the DC beta and hfe values of a typical NPN transistor as well as the purpose of the coupling capacitors. Finally, it discusses the efficiency of a regular common emitter transistor amplifier vs the class A transformer coupled amplifier.

@@Brandon-lx3mf I think a B is good, especially for a hard professor, and I'm glad to hear about your GPA! I was close to EE myself (I did biomedical engineering with a concentration in programming and electronics). How has that been going?

This was a really great discussion of how all the elements work together - once he explained then I understood it. However, I'm still lacking sorely in my understanding of how circuits are devised. When he added C6 and told us why then I felt like I was watching a magician pull a rabbit out of a hat though I was too distracted watching his sexy lady assistant to understand how and why the feat was accomplished. He needs to do some lectures on circuit design. Starting with simple circuits then to more complex ones.

C1, C2, C3 don't need to be that big in practice because of the input and output impedances of the stages. In practice 1uf will be enough and 10uf is overkill

12:22 if a.c affects distortion in q2 then how can whole circuit sourced by a.c ,q1 also gives out a.c ? So resistor handles both a.c and d.c?

How can you solve circuits with complex capacitor layouts, i.e. that they cannot be reduced by using the formula for capacitors in series or in parallel? Does Kirchoff Law applies to capacitors too?
@PunmasterSTP
@PunmasterSTP 3 года назад
I think that Kirchhoff's rules always apply, but when analyzing alternating currents, you have to remember that capacitors and inductors each have a reactance.

Why you use multi staging ampli if you can set the first stage Vce & Ic to half?
@rw2954
@rw2954 Год назад
Consider Beta is 100 and the current on Ib is 1mA. You can only get 100mA of current on Ic. Multi stage amplifiers are used to increase power in the later stages. I am currently trying to make an RF amplifier circuit, current on the antenna is pretty much nA and takes careful amplification to get a decent signal to decode audio.

@ismailmustaphe5241 4 года назад
Use integration by parts. U=lnx Du/dx=1/x V=1/x^2 When integrate V=-1/x The formula=uv-integral of vdu -1/xlnx-1/x^2 The last answer you can remove of vector: -1/x(lnx+1/x)
