​@@daylehudson6810 have you seen the videos when the horses get spooked? If there was any type of restraint there then the horse &/or rider could be seriously injured or killed. It is the public that is at fault for not heeding the notice & using their common sense

@@MaxxsMummy I understand that, but if a dog barks, growls or jumps at one of the horses , it could scare the horse. If that happens, it could lead to something that could be dangerous. There are other places that dogs could be walked besides where horses are. I,myself, am a huge animal lover, I’m just thinking about the welfare of all persons and animals.

All true. However, many cities have art galleries, museums, theaters, and parks. What they don't have are the wonderful Kings Guards. They came a long way for this and are just hoping that something will change soon and the troops and horses will emerge once more. You can hardly blame them.

As an American, I can tell you that we are not familiar with that terminology. We are blessed to be isolated from would-be threats from our neighboring countries so we don't understand threat terminology. That said, probably even knowing of the government's concerns, they would continue standing there so they could watch it happen. I never said we were smart.

@@teresabillings8378 guess these are the concerns that tourists seem happy to wander around unfamiliar places, mixing with worldwide immigrants and tourists without checking what security issues there could be - particularly given what is happening in Ukraine and Syria currently (neither really “neighbouring” to Britain.). Also a bit surprised you think America is “isolated from neighboring threat” particularly when America’s Homeland Security via the National Terrorism Advisory System states “All Americans share responsibility for the nation's security, and should always be aware of the heightened risk of terrorist attack in the United States and what they should do. The United States remains in a heightened threat environment.” So about the same level as Britain - perhaps Britain’s population is more connected to and/or interested in world news and so aware of potential problems from anywhere.

Most of the Horse boxes do have Very Easily seen signs hanging next to the Archways where they Stand Guard Duty that say: BEWARE THE HORSES MAY BITE! THE HORSES MIGHT KICK! DON'T TOUCH THE REINS! THANK YOU! THAT'S VERY CLOSE TO WHAT THEY SAY IF NOT EXACTLY!!! SO THERE'S NO EXCUSE IF THEY GET INJURED AND NO LIABILITY ON THE MILITARY SERVICE BRANCH OR THE UK GOVERNMENT!! NOT SPEAKING OR READING ENGLISH ISN'T AN EXCUSE!!

I never walk my little dog on a lead amongst sidewalks like this, I carry her in my arms or her doggie carrier. I find that lady was rude, plus, she could get stepped on or killed…easily.

No one said it was the palace. They said there were protesters near the palace. They didn’t say anything about being near the horse guards. Just common sense to put the horses away just in case.

Yeah. Whenever I've looked at these videos and seen it, I really wanted to reach out and straighten it up right.

You only need to go back to the bombing of the horses and guards in 1982 which killed and injured horses and guards. The minor threats no matter how little towards the king and his horses has to be taken seriously even more this day and age.

it says at the top under the video that it was because of serious chanting and protesters nearby, and the trouble they could have caused, that horse guards was temporarily shut down from public entering it
