I've seen lots of leather workers making belts on YT and they usually skim a layer of the leather away before folding over the buckle, if it's a little bulky and problematic I'd recommend using your exacto to skim a layer away.
She's super cute! The only thing I'd change would be maybe giving her a pair of mid calf socks, white with the teal stripes at the top, to tie in with the jacket and add a bit of interest to her legs to help balance the design. I love how creative the headphones are, the stripe on the band and the buttons on the side are a perfect homage to her original hair ties and headphones.

She turned out beautifully!! Great job!! I love the detail in her outfit; you always get such neat results! I’ve been going through a bit of a Miku renaissance for the last year myself. There’s a mobile rhythm game called “Colorful Stage” (“Project SEKAI” in Japan) that has a fantastic concept that your design seems to have hit on perfectly - the idea that Miku is different things to different people, but what she is for everyone is a source of inspiration and encouragement to realize their own creative dreams. This game has really lovable casts of characters split into different musical groups with different goals. Each of them interacts with their own versions of Miku and other Vocaloids, and each group’s “SEKAI” has different theming. I don’t know if rhythm games are your jam, but I might encourage you to check this one out anyway if you’ve never done so. I can’t help but imagine what kind of dreams your multiverse Miku could help you chase! 💖
I'll tell you what, I first found her in a machine musik video (that's the title) made by the creator behind her Calne Ca variant with arguably the most vulgar yet most honest approach to the consequences of bullying in Bacterial Contamination. So, seeing an approach as a multiverse Miku is immensely strong, thank you man!

This is really cool! Btw, the strap for the belt is supposed to go around the middle piece of the belt and I recommend skiving (using a blade to thin) the leather from the back to. Those 2 things would have made the belt much more functional (and accurate).

This is a GREAT aesthetic for Miku, amazing job making your own, this is definitely a great look for her. I'm planning to customise a doll into my own Miku as well, and I love seeing how others interpret her and make her come to life.
I have a hack for anyone wanting to sew clothes for dolls on a sewing machine. Place the pieces that you want to sew on paper, after you pin the pieces together. The paper will keep the small pieces of fabric from being eaten by the machine and will not interfere with the stitches in any way. Once done sewing the pieces together, all you have to do is pull the paper from both sides of the stitching, and the paper will rip apart where the stitching is.
I luv the Miku collab with Harvest moon she is soooo pretty. So since you did such a wonderful job with this, I'd like to see u do a version of that. As always luv ypr work Dianna
She's so cute!!!!! I wish I had your talent lol. I've made some custom anime dolls, but I can't reroot or sew, so I have to hire those parts done. And I have to paint over face paint already there because I can't draw to save my life haha. I agree with you about smiling dolls - I do prefer mine to be smiling! Oh no, not math!!! Anything but math!!! LOL I really like her outfit! It's like an upgraded version of her classic look, and it's amazing! The colors are perfect! Great job!

She looks amazing, DF! The only problem I have is her mouth. Idk why, but it doesn’t look right. I can’t explain it. I think I’m trying to see a more natural look, instead of a digital look like the original character.
Very cute. The only things I would have added is a microphone to the headphones and something under her skirt as I think it’s too sheer clear to wear alone. Maybe you could make a pair of shorts that mimic her top to put underneath so I adds the layer of opacity where it could be used and doesn’t distract from the amazing skirt you already have. I think she definitely looks like a hologram for the multiverse Miku.
