Yup Multiversus is dead in the water. I'm so glad SOMEONE is making a comprehensive look at how GOD AWFUL the hitboxes and hurtboxes are in this game, because I've been saying that that's my #1 biggest problem with it since launch. Using RIck is pure hell. Similarly to Finn, my Jab3 ALMOST NEVER FKN CONNECTS, and other combos and setups simply don't work the way they used to in the Beta and some don't even work as intended. The game feels so slow now, connections are still awful, the microtransactions and DLC pricing is EGREGIOUS and if you're a new player, you either have to grind for dozens of hours with Shaggy or one of the rotating pool of free trial characters until you earn Fighter Currency to buy the character you actually want...OR, of course, get it instantly by paying real money. That plus the fact that some of the missions are locked if you don't have a specific character or even Gleamium-only character SKIN is just predatory in nature. The game is designed to siphon money out of kids' parents' credit cards AND fans of the beta alike, and it shows no respect to the latter.

Tbh I played this game for 2 days and then forgot it was there for a month, so I decided to get rid of it. Like don't get me wrong it can be a fun game, but when smash bros. is right there with slightly better feeling controls and no micro transactions I think you can tell where I'm going.

First I'm gonna say love the edits and music it was good and the music gave me crazy vibes fr now second I had this thing happening to me today where I fought a Rick and tell me how I dodge and everything while he's big right I'm on the very edge of the map and he goes back to being smaller Rick and he does the kick from his 1 2 3 combo right and that hits when he's nowhere even near me like that makes absolutely zero sense like I genuinely couldn't believe it at all

game’s supposedly balanced to be 2v2 but everyone wants to 1v1. idk if devs know their audience that much. unless they got a reliable partner who regularly logs in with them, then its pointless playing random queue 2v2.
And despite all of this, I’d rather this over the beta. At least there’s actual room for improvement in this version. The beta would remain in the same meta no matter how many characters you change or add.
You forgot most players ran those speed perks. Take away speed perks, the base character speed is decent. Take away the percentage increase in 2's meta builds don't have as much impact. Take away spam dodging with quicker burnout, and the same playstyle of players that complained and didn't complain about the beta can't play the same way they do in launch. Literally most players are playing the same, but because it's slow, and enable everyone to land an easy combo it's better? This new version takes no skill, and you talking about room for improvement when it's just a linear combo route for easy little to no efforts kills. Beta was way better. Especially when it wasn't trying to be smash with the knockback and speed.
I've played through almost the whole beta and the meta is still the same except with the Joker. WW started OP and Superman is still OP but all the characters that were retarded in the beta are still retarded now... maybe except Jake. But Finn is so strong he was the only way I could beat max difficulty rifts. And I have only played him in a lab for a little and never played vs players. He literally needs ZERO experience to play or at least watch a 1 minute combo guide on how to delete everyone with jab 1 if you haven't seen anyone do it to you before.
@boofthepass3486 Beta is better to me by far. Definitely had its own identity back then. Still does now, but just feels like a worse/more boring version. Still play it tho 🖤
@@elsocio. Exactly! I could be getting beat so bad, but in three moves just win with a no effort combo. And the combo routes being linear and fixated make it worse.
Man, that shaggy was on a mission.. It was hilarious thathe was even able to take 1 stock out of you, says a lot about the current gameplay lmao I literally uninstalled the game and I feel a lot better lmao, the only way to play the game tbh is in the beta version, even if it has it's own issues, it's way more fun than whatever this mess is
Multiversus 1.0. is basically a second beta. I thought having the game offline for A YEAR was a long time but apparently they rushed the game and actually needed way more time to make it somewhat balanced OR AT LEAST PLAYABLE. Or they were just slacking. The new characters have very cool movesets but completely unbalanced. Like they needed 5 minutes in a lab to discover that Joker can infinite you vertically, Jason is complete ASS and BG is somewhere in between. Right now I think the only broken thing about BG is sideair knockback. Amazing frames and range AND it also kills - not fair. Air sidespecial should be the killing tool instead.
@@DraconasTenZHG Feels more like an alpha tbh, there was no reason behind updating to U5, its literally more expensive for your pc because of how unoptimized Unreal Engine overall is lol The game feels so dumbed down that having skill and reflexes matters way less now

Tbf about the sword hits, the actual effects go a little further than the sword itself. Still there are a lot of janky hitboxes lol and all my homies hate Morty
Touching Morty once at 45% and killing him for it, calling his kill-confirm at 85% lazy, then killing him at 39% again using the same 3 button confirm. I'm not accusing you of projection buuuuuuuut... Yes Morty drains your life force fighting him, as does a Finn running around (with 0 movement penalty for some god forsaken reason) charging large, disjointed sword normals with minimal whiff recovery. All the while not having to commit to one position while charging like the rest of the cast. I'd honestly take fighting Morty over the majority of Finn players I've run into.

You telling me you don't enjoy chasing around the opponent all across the stage for like 2 minutes of them spamming dodge till if finally out of it hit it for 2 o 3 combos and damn back to chasing? METHODICAL AND SMART GAMEPLAY RIGHT THERE. You guys don't enjoy "mages" having better normals reach and prios than Bruisers and assassins?. You guys don't like your weapon range being cursed with the most ridiculous hitboxes and those super fun "hitting, but no really hit" normals?. Don't you guys enjoy and have fun mages controlling the whole stage with their hyper exciting and interactive gameplay and low cooldowns playing reaction just waiting for you to do something?! LMAO. This game is so cooked.
I'm a also a Main Finn & i agree, its seems like everyone can Dodge your Combos but if it's your turn you can't. Also the Hitbocks of Finns Sword is so disquistingly small i mean your are next to a Opponent and miss a hair length away.Meanwhile Jason, B Bunny, Wonder Woman, Harley, Morty, Rick, Black Adam, Bat Man hit you when they are like 10 kilometer away.. Also you need to do alot of effort to kick someone out meanwhile there are Characters like Shagy, Joker etc.. that need to hit you like 3-4 Times & you out. Some Days the Game feels good other days it feels disquisting.. i mean i'm spamming dodging all the time if someone hits & nothing happens.. I also hate this Tornado Guy & this Shield Boy Crap Characters 😂 i don't even start with Iron Giant.

I understand the point you’re trying to make, love the video, but GIRL, you don’t need to pause the video every five seconds just to show the janky hit boxes, I do agree that this game has bad hit boxes but you don’t need to keep pausing to show them off
