Today, MultiVersus announced that they're taking the game offline. This is my final update video about the game (at least for the near future) and sort of a closure note for the community. I seriously really REALLY appreciate all of you guys that supported this channel, and this won't be the last time you see me. Until next time 💙

crazy. I got into this game from a few friends who I kept in touch w via video games and we would play this game all the time. Your content only helped me get more into it, so it’s hard knowing it died so quickly. Appreciate the update bro.

I think the Warner Bros Discovery merger had quite an impact on WB games. Judging by the lack of updates to MV and the fact that Mortal Kombat has been nonexistent in news for the most part show that something has been happening behind the scenes. Maybe they can get a new jumpstart under new leadership.

I always blame the companies that publish these games because the executives generally determine a game's fate, not the devs. One example is Star Wars Battlefront 3, that game got cancelled because of Battlefield 2042, and look where that ended up :|

Hopefully they can use the funds from the Open Beta to hire more developers and provide more content. Can't wait to see what happens in the future!

As I've said everywhere else, they walked into this themselves. However, here's to hoping they fix everything. Again, I love this game, but they need to fix this themselves here's to hoping it comes back much better than before

I have a feeling that even if it does launch fully in early 2024, I still think that it probably won't get its full player base back. I am certain that some players will come back, but I doubt that it will ever have 100,000 players again. (Or who knows, it might just pull a fall guys moment, and make an amazing comeback.)

I hope this game comes back better since it is a good concept of fighting as your favorite cartoon characters. You can go into the route of making fighting game content or whatever, but whatever you post I'll watch.

i played this game a lot when it first came out i got the battle pass and in season 1 i played but i couldnt play this game because it was extremely laggy i had to uninstall (i played on ps5)

i will miss this game i used to play it almost all day and i had like 750+ hours cause i was a hella sweat but no other game i liked but i wish servers were good for along time even tho they had wb who could have helped for servers but when it comes back i hope it will be better R.I.P mvs :(

I feel worse for the community that entered this scene (including myself) to get the return that we did. Sure, the game is free-to-play, but our time as individuals is valuable and I personally think they handled the last 3 months as poorly as possible. Now with Dark & Darker being cancelled for the time being, my personal interests in game choices has pretty much hit rock bottom. This was a complete disaster.

I also want to note, that the lack of updates weren't truly the biggest issues - A bigger issue I found is that patches after Black Adams release were particularly bad for the online environment of the game. Things just stopped working entirely, and eventually is would leak out into the actual controls. It was around Marvin's release that this became almost unbearable. I've always said that Multiversus' one major advantage from the start was that the online gameplay felt really good compared to any other FG I've played. Imo, it should have been their constant push to ensure that online was the major key-point and functioning aspect of the game. Without decent functioning online, this basically quashes any ideals from players who aren't interested in flying across the world to participate in live e-sporting events. Hosting my own online tournament was one of the best engagements with a community I've ever had, and I did it all from home.

MV deciding to leave the very month Street Fighter 6 comes out is bold. SF6 might absorb all the MV players with nothing to play. Still probably best move. THEY MUST ADD A BLOCK MECHANIC AND EACH CHARACTER HAVING AN ULTIMATE MOVE . That would probably bring this game back close to where it was

Lack of content is an excuse for a fighting game not being fun. Games like street fighter, tekken, smash, all have a healthy playerbase even without content updates
