The Pinnacles Trail is not just about fitness, agility is just as important. I have seen very fit young Sabahans Collage kids, (most of them had done Mt Kinabalu) finding the hike very hard, a few descended with the bottom rather than with the legs. I had done it a few times back then and find it just a nice stroll, but will never even want to do it now even if someone pay me., it is hard if you are not fit.
