Prior to Western Railway switching to the AC traction, it would be hauled by a WCAM 1 engine until Valsad after which a Vadodara based WAP 4 and WAP 5 and WAP 7 would haul the train until Ahmedabad Junction following which it would get a WDP 4 , WDP 4D , WDP 4B from the Bhagat ki Kothi shed until Bikaner.
Since Western Railway switched over to AC traction in February 2012, it is now hauled by a WAP 5 or WAP 4E or WAP 7 from the Vadodara shed until Ahmedabad Junction after which a WDP 4 , WDP 4D , WDP 4B from the Bhagat ki Kothi from the Bhagat ki Kothi shed takes over until Bikaner.
14707 Ranakpur Express leaves Bikaner Junction every day at 09:30 hrs IST and reaches Bandra Terminus at 09:40 hrs IST the next day.
14708 Ranakpur Express leaves Bandra Terminus every day at 15:05 hrs IST and reaches Bikaner Junction at 15:35 hrs IST the next day.

Bikaner Railway Station was constructed in 1891 with a Rs. 3,46,000 donation by Rai Bahadur Dewan Bahadur Sir Kasturchand Daga, a known trader from the city.
In 1889, the two states of Jodhpur and Bikaner formed the Jodhpur-Bikaner Railway to promote railway development jointly within the Rajputana Agency. In 1891 the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) wide metre gauge Jodhpur-Bikaner line was opened. In 1901-02, the metre gauge line was extended to Bathinda.
The Jodhpur-Bikaner track, along with the link to Phulera, had been taken in/before 1991 for conversion to 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) wide broad gauge. According to a Press Information Bureau release issued in 2008, the Jodhpur-Merta City-Bikaner-Bathinda line was broad gauge.
The Bikaner-Rewari line was converted to broad gauge during the period 2008-2011.
The Bikaner (Lalgarh) workshop was set up in 1926. It carries out periodic overhauling of metre gauge coaches and wagons.
Bikaner Heritage Rail Museum at Bikaner displays items related to the Jodhpur and Bikaner Railway era. It was opened in 2012.
Mumbai Bandra Terminus (station code: BDTS) also known as Vandre Terminus (in Marathi)is a railway terminus in Bandra from where trains bound for Northern India and Western India are scheduled regularly. It was built in the 1990s to decongest the main Mumbai Central station. It is one of the five railway terminus within Greater Mumbai. The other four terminals are - Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai Central, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Dadar. It is close to Bandra Kurla Complex, a commercially important part of Mumbai as well as Mumbai Airport.
