CSMT/Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus -- KRMI/Karmali
The 22119/22120 Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Karmali Tejas Express is one of India’s semi-high speed full AC train fleet introduced by Indian Railways connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Maharashtra and Karmali in Goa. It is currently being operated with 22119/22120 train numbers on five days a week basis but during Monsoon season the train will run thrice a week.
The coaches are manufactured at the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.
There are 12 AC Chair Car and they can seat up to 78 passengers each (3+2) configuration and 1 Executive Class coach (in 2+2 configuration). The Executive Class coach has a seating capacity of 56 passengers and adjustable head-rests, arm support and leg support. All doors are centrally controlled.
It is designed by Indian Railways with features of LED screen display to show information about stations, train speed etc. and will have announcement system as well, Vending machines for tea, coffee and milk, Bio toilets in compartments as well as CCTV cameras, water level indicators, tap sensors, hand dryers, integrated braille displays, LED TV for each passenger with phone sockets, local cuisine, celebrity chef menu, WiFi, tea and coffee vending machines, magazines, snack tables, fire & smoke detection and suppression system.
Onboard catering service charges are included in the fare. If the passengers do not wish to avail it at the time of booking and want to purchase meals on board, they will have to pay Rs 50 extra per service in addition to the actual catering charges.
22119/22120 Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Karmali Tejas Express currently operates 5 days a week, covering 552 km in 8 hrs 10 mins(66 km/hr average speed).
This train was hauled by two Kalyan based WDM 3D from Mumbai to Karmali. Earlier twin WDM-3Ds have been replaced with Kalyan based WDP 3A (ex-shed: Golden Rock (GOC) of SR division), specially designed to haul this train at 120 KMPH.

Karmali railway station (station code: KRMI) is the third station (after Pernem and Thivim) within Goa, when entering from the north, under the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway. Karmali railway station is closest railway station to the State capital Panjim or Panaji, which is the administrative capital of Goa, and is located in the central part of Goa.
It falls under Karwar railway division of Konkan Railway zone, a subsidiary zone of Indian Railways.
It lies is in Carambolim (also called Karmali) village of the Tiswadi sub-district of Goa State. Madgaon railway station in South Goa district is the largest, while Thivim railway station in North Goa comes at second place. The former is a gateway to South Goa, Margao, the urban area of Vasco da Gama and also the beaches of South Goa, while the latter is a gateway to Mapusa town, the emigration-oriented sub-district of Bardez and also the North Goa beach belt.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (officially Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) (station code: CSTM (mainline)/ST (suburban)), also known by its former name Victoria Terminus (station code: BBVT/VT), is a historic terminal train station and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
The terminus was designed by British born architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Its construction began in 1878, in a location south of the old Bori Bunder railway station, and was completed in 1887, the year marking 50 years of Queen Victoria's rule, the building being named, Victoria Terminus.
In March 1996 the station's name was changed to "Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus" (with station code CST). Both former initials "VT" and the current, "CST", are also commonly used.
The terminus is the headquarters of India's Central Railway. It is one of the busiest railway stations in India, serving as a terminal for both long-distance- and suburban trains.
CSMT has a total of 18 platforms-seven platforms are for suburban EMU trains and eleven platforms (Platform 8 to Platform 18) are for long-distance trains. Rajdhani, Duronto, Garib Rath and Tejas Express leave from Platform No. 18. Air-conditioned dormitories were inaugurated at CST on 16 April 2013.
The station has been the location of filming the "Jai Ho" song in Slumdog Millionaire and the 2011 Indian film Ra.One.
