Nice vlog! You guys put more emphasis on the route and road conditions so hats off to you both. Keep it coming! And also please let us know which is the best route according to you to reach Goa (probably Panjim or North).
Glad you liked the video Even to reach north Goa we would recommend the Bhimgad Anmod ghat route.. we found the road condition was way better than other routes .. from south to north, Goa roads are in good condition so you will still save time and effort as compared to taking other routes
I would always recommend the Nipani Ajra Amboli route even if you are travelling to South Goa as the internal roads in Goa from north towards South are much better than the one you guys took
We travelled via Amboli ghat to North Goa initially and then moved to South Goa for later part of our stay. Wanted to know if this route is better to return from South Goa, than travelling back to North & taking Amboli ghat route. My consideration would be to avoid steep bends of Amboli ghat and bad patches from Ajra to Amboli as my codriver is amateur.
Travelled to South Goa Dec 2nd 2022 and there is literally no road for about 15-20 km in the Bhimgarh sanctuary. I came here looking for an alternate route for return trip but sadly you took the same one 😅
Bhimgad road was best earlier. It only took 3hrs to reach margoa from kolhapur. Hope they make this patch fast. Chorla is worst is any conditions and important thing about chorla ghat road is you can't cover the distance
@@james2k00 a premium sedan would be a difficult drive. As evident from our video, the bhimgad patch gets a little too rough in some patches and Sedans having lower ground clearance can be a difficult drive.
Next time try Hubli -mundgod(tibet monestries)-sirsi -yana caves-jog falls-gokarn-marwant beach -murdeshwar-karwar(war ship museum)and south Goa canacon three days trip
Nice Video, I am from Belagavi, due to rain & heavy vehicle (truck, tippers, containers) traffic you dont often get good stretch on any road to goa :) Also I would recommend to extend your journey more towards coastal KA, Dandeli You wont regret..
i frm goa our . as soon as border of goa crosses KA started every where ther are huge size potholes whic can remove the bumper of sedan very easily. your kA govt is list bother abt roads frm belgavi to jambotti to chorla ghat road .plz tell ur govt tht learn smthing from goa govt
@@josdemon thanks for sharing. We travelled from Calangute to South Goa just to take Anmod bhimgadh road instead of Amboli on our return. We did it based on our past bad experience of Amboli ajara route. I guess we made the right decision based on your latest update.
@@novicewanderers I lost at least an hour cause of the bad patches via Amboli and google too rerouted me to the vengurla route and I had to return to the original route and get to my destination in Calangute.. all in all these are just experiences .. I guess the govt will do up the roads and by next April /may they will be okay.. thanks for your help and keep on vlogging..
You would have to go ahead from Nepani in Belagavi and cross Belagavi city. After that take the newly constructed Belagavi-Panjim highway. Drive on it for around 20kms and then take the right exit toward Bhimgadh sanctuary, crossing which would take you to Anmodh ghat. Check our latest video around the road conditions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7dc4I3sD1Ms.htmlsi=qk-VbbMaSwR3AKvy We have also shared the Google map link there.
Agreed but if you are in South Goa petrol pumps are very hard to find and you have to opt for the petrol bottles available at general store whose cost varies between 110 - 150 (Butterfly Beach)
Than you. We are glad you found the video helpful. We would suggest to take the route we took from pune to Goa. You can try Amboli ghat. We tried it last year in October but didn't like it. Personally we would not recommend Chorla.
I m travelling to mangalore next week.. not sure which ghat to go for.. I went to Gokarna last month via yellapur but the roads are in worst conditions.. so planning to Goa via chorla ghat.. what ld you suggest?
We found Bhimgadh route to be the best one as compared to Chorla Ghat and Amboli ghat. You can take the Pune Mumbai expressway, head to satara then kolhapur and then cross belgavi to enter Bhimgadh.
Vaccination certificate checked nowhere. PUC, insurance checked in Maharashtra Satara. Not checked on Goa border. However, in North Goa police were actively checking licence and helmet (if on two wheeler).
Hello brother, if we are travelling in our own vehicle (white board) to goa do we need to take/pay any kind of checkpost/border pass tax? If yes then can you please tell me how!
Amboli is currently best. If u r going to South or North goa. Only bad road starts from 10 kms before ajra to danoli ( where amboli ghat ends) where u can left towards banda. From banda to margoa ktc bus stand is 77kms which takes exactly 1hr as road is great
This was the worst road that I also had to pass in my recent trip a month before through Bhimgad. If something goes wrong then there will be no one to take care.
We agree with the part where you said it's difficult to find help. That's why it is extremely important to make sure your vehicle is in good condition, with sufficient fuel and maps downloaded. Apart from this, the stretch of bad road is manageable.
