I love the guitar rendition on this...it's a combination of anger, passion, and sadness...beautiful melodies perfect for those times when you just need to feel. I dunno how they do it but Mumford & Sons' music moved me when I first heard them on the radio, I think they're one of the best bands I've heard in a long time...

This songs speaks the most to those who gave all they were to someone they thought loved you back, but in the end it was never a, "thing," to start with. In my case i thought this one girl loved me for my kindness and personality, but in the end used me for her own bidding. i want you, the ones who experienced this, to know that God has made a path for you and made a person that will love you for who you are, not for your social status or affection. So many people are talking about how they've been rejected and hurt by a lover, but really to me, it can be a friend or family too. I've had friends who've done shit to me before and I can relate to this song, luckily I bounced back immediately because it wasn't something to have a major affect in my life. But pain is pain: it's a little shit who doesn't care how small it is because it's just the same. I connect to this music and though I'm young, it helps me from stumbling and falling over last pebble I crossed in my path

I was in Hyeres-les-Palmiers once working at a high school and Mumford & Sons was the opening act so they came to sit in the audience after their performance and I walked right up to Mark and said y’all are amazing and he said thanks. It was the first time I had ever heard them.

I was on a short run this morning, listening to the usual music with a heavy beat in time to my running when I accidentally skipped to this song. I have never run so hard for so long. Although it doesn't have the recurring beat good for running, the emotions I get from this song (Despair, anger and most of all, love) all keep me going to become a better person. I recommend this song for running (but you have to mouth the words with as much passion as possible).
