It took a while before I realized I was listening to a live performance. They sound AMAZING, even live. I guess that's what happens when you have real talent.
Mumford and sons are beautiful and they deserve to be discovered more... I truly think they are amazing, and my whole family loves them. @purpledancinyogo I agree with you, SUNNY FIELD ALL THE WAY.
i'm so happy i found these guys, they introduced me to a whole new genre of music where as before i was lost and didn't really have anything to listen to. i love you mumford & sons ♥
I think all things Mumford and Sons is totally awesome, just love it, it raises emotions, makes you smile, laugh. sing, foot tap and listen to them really loud. (well....that's just me)
i was watching this video and saw konny everywhere and i started thinking why so many kony fanboys here... then i remember that this song is in his movie... thumbs up everyone who is here jsut for this epic music !!
such a beautiful song....i love the intro, and the verses. and the stomping in the middle... this whole song just makes me want to dance in a sunny field... if thats not weird. lol :]
Guys, you do realize this song is about religous things right? Darkness is a harsh term. Marcus once fell under darkness until he asked god to help find his inner being. "im afraid of what i will find."He's to worried of what he'll find so he ask's god to help see what he's really like. He's asking for salvation of all the Sins he committed. Great Dong
regardless of what trollers say, this is a very good band with a very good sound. Unique..here in the states anyway. i enjoyed rediscovering them today actually. brought back a lot of pub hopping memories.
yes @eric42592, in the same way I discovered and am now addicted to Mumford and Sons... this will be the fifth time I'll play this song on my half hour drive (I'm stopped at a light, hence, this message :)
That could be one function of God. The world does become a lot nicer when there's a reason for everything, when the universe is explainable, when there's a light at the end of the tunnel, when there's someone listening to your prayers, when there's someone always watching out for you. But God also functions as a form of social control. (Btw: if it's relevant, I neither believe nor disbelieve in God) But the thing with songs are that their meaning is what the listener hears and perceives.
Thank goodness theyre not on the radio! The radio has destroyed basically every awesome song thats on there! Keeping it away from the radio keeps it a classic
What that guy meant to say is, it's not country but it does have some country/bluegrass influences. It is technically folk rock, but has been called nu folk, and has also been referenced (incorrectly) as anti-folk. there are other bands in this category, but there is nothing out there really "like" mumford and sons, they have their own unique sound. Be sure to check out laura marling, noah and the whale, emmy the great, regina spektor, mystery jets, slow club, lots of others.
The genre is English Folk. Marcus has said before in an interview that that is what the classify it as. It's definitely not country; listen to any country song and you'll hear the difference.
sorry to rain on your parade guys, before you go hating on me for this, i was a strong, STRONG believer in the Kony2012 video, but upon doing some research, i discovered that kony actually died about 5 years ago, and the LRA's last attack was over 6 years ago.
