I think the unsung advantage of plain chips is that they go with basically any kind of sandwich or dip, whereas the flavored chips are unpalatable in certain combinations.

Yeah, I would only ever get the original or classic lays if I was going to eat them with hot sauce. Otherwise, all you taste is salt.

I only ever get plain chips because I know I wont eat them alone. Yet I need a crunch to my sandwich. Nature's built in way of stopping me from getting early diabetes, a bag of plain chips can last me a dozen sandwiches.

I don't know if this helps, but it can take several hours for the written captions to load. Maybe if you're only seeing auto captions on a video, try again in a little bit and the good captions will have loaded.

Look, I respect that LAYS SC&O won. What I don't quite respect (numbers purists won't agree) is that the salt-only chips should have gone against each other, and ONLY THE WINNER of those should have gone head to head with the top-flavored chip. Would we have reached the same conclusion? We will never know, and that is a shame.

Look, I too respect that LAYS SC&O won. What I don’t quite respect is that french fries were not included in the chip bracket. They are basically chips, and even called chips across the pond. The salt only chips should have gone against french fries, and ONLY THE WINNER of those should have gone head to head with the top flavored chip. Would we have reached the same conclusion? We will never know, and that is a shame.

While the Cheetos and Bugles are shockers, I don't think Sour Cream over Doritos was outrageous or nearly as bad. Both chips are great and were ranked 1 and 2 so I would have been happy with either despite probably choosing Lays over Doritos myself

Classic Pringle's are my go to chip for whenever I want something to snack on. They're good for snacking, they don't taste like lays or ruffles, and then when you're done, it's always fun to practice Bane impressions with the can.

i prefer barbeque but the puffed chips are undoubtedly the best. followed closely by folded over chips and the extra-golden-brown/mildly burnt ones

My winner is Nacho Cheese Doritos.. Pringels are my least favorite chip because they taste weird, and Cool Ranch Doritos is also down there because it has a weird aftertaste to me and is too tangy

Also Pringles aren’t chips either! They lost a lawsuit with Lays. They hav to be called potato Crisps because they aren’t fried sliced potato they are a fried ground potato paste.
