I actually enjoyed this episode of munchies unlike so many of the negative comments below. It wasn't overly drunk all male groups for once. Bit of a change. A grilled cheese to me is delicious, especially with such a gourmet range of cheeses and is totally something I would crave when drunk. A good french grilled cheese is beautiful! Cheese appreciation.
This woman is a major talent and has a giant heart and all you fools can talk about is stupid stuff. Most of you could not even make a grilled cheese sandwich or boil water ... the sad side to internet is it opens the door to fools...and makes everyone a critic... you think bc you eat that you know ANYTHING about food. BTW she is walking arm and arm all the way to the bank and to many awards ...while YOU sit in your small room on your laptop finding more ppl to judge while YOU are doing nothing with your life. BRAVO Chef Crenn Bravo!
uhm, there are actually lots of them. and you can actually see that she appreciates the simple approach to food. i mean, she enjoyed that grilled cheese in the end, didn't she?
Derek Gray i did. that dude was as stiff as a corpse. but its still interesting to see different people on Munchies. not just guys like Eddie Huang or Action Bronson. (even though they themselves are very different from each other)
I know many people are talking about the dislikes being related to the chef being a girl, but what about the fact that they didn't do much at all in this episode? Not to mention how annoying they got when they were drunk.
nice woman, but this style of arty/deconstructed cuisine is tired....writing the menu like a poem is so fukcing gimmicky and lame, i would be so annoyed.
i know i was thinking about how awkward it must have been for the other girls in the video. dominique really has no shame when it comes to giving off obvious signals!
hany259 Oh, who cares? I've pounced on a few females in my time. Give me a man any day or night, but a cute chick, yeah, baby, into bed, you're gonna get tied up with my sheer stockings and I'm gonna make you moan, "Don't ... stop ... " Ha ha ha ha ha! Lesbians rock. The more overt they are, well, the braver. It isn't easy for them.
Fun channel, good video! I am American and live in France, 20 years now, and did a short term contract as a chef's assistant in Paris. Fun! Hard work. I learned a lot. We rent furnished flats and houses on vacation so I can cook. I want to buy the local fare and try to serve it. I loved seeing their appreciation of a good cheese. I never really understood dairy products in the USA. This chef's dishes are really cute, and look like nice combinations. I enjoyed my honeymoon for the first marriage in SF, though it was a very gay city in '80 and the gays were openly hostile to the straights. The straights were so beleaguered, they were snippy. But the food was wonderful, and I loved all the types of oysters driving up to Bodega Bay. Too bad all seafood and river food is so toxic now. Great ladies' night out. Uprated.
what an incredibly attractive woman, both in manner and physique. to know that she's guided her restaurant to posses two michelin stars is adds the sweetness to the lemon and ginger.
That is art and not food. Food is supposed to make me full and enjoy the taste. With these little servings nobody can enjoy the taste (maybe only once).
this is why i hate the vast majority of idiots who cannot develop the palate and knowledge to appreciate good food. her dishes are one of many. a Degustation consisting of 6-8 can fill a person very well, sometimes too much. her dishes are not a la carte, they are a set course menu. Most likely a tasting menu which can consist up to 24 courses. if you dont like it, why bother watching, not many people understand the concept of fine dining, its not just about filling stomachs, its also an art for the palate and eyes. Go eat maccas instead.
***** see your a child...you can dish it out but not take it....adults do not attack ppl unless they are jealous you know nothing about this woman or her food ...ps spelling is not another of your best suits along with the fact you know nothing about food... go get another box of Lucky Charms and leave the food to the pros...
Wow Michelin stars don’t mean much nowadays. After seeing her friends and the ways she Lind of puts together her food “creations” I don’t want to spend 200usd on her foods. I had order the tasting menu before swing this and I was disappointed. You see Americans think all “French” made is good but is not. I’ve been to France many times and not everything is good country side perhaps in terms of food and wines and champagne but not in big cities where a lot of it is just commercial. Spain is better in term of food and seafood
God I hate Dominique Crenn. I've worked in the industry long enough to meet plenty of self-absorbed, narcissistic shit-heels, but she's taking it to a whole new level. And she has the gall to call her doggerel menus poetry! What an awful person.
