I'm impressed, they kinda nailed it. My granddad is just like Onkel Tom, made me those raw pork buns with onions when I was a child. Also I was always excited when they made Königsberger Klopse (the meatballs) in the school kitchen!

Oh my... I *love* the gardens❣️ I wish they did that sort of thing here in the States. However, allowing houses to be lived in, but people to plant more foodstuffs even in their front yards. I believe that the whole Earth would benefit if everywhere did this sort of thing. Not just Berlin. I even love the rooftop plantings they do in some places. I wish more places did this. Global Warming would be so much less of a problem if this were done. Love Uncle Tom's garden, it's beautiful. Oy! That schnapps with homemade liver sausage & mustard, not so sure I'd enjoy that. Interesting "drink" though. Kavita's hair is so beautiful❣️(I know, that's an aside, but I want her to know.) The lady serving the currywurst was awesome, great sense of humor. I really liked Kavita as a host - she clearly knows her stuff about food, she really appreciates Berlin, her German is great... and from what I've read, she is a big influencer in terms of street food in Berlin! Also, her laugh is so contagious :)

Old style Berlin and its food are amazing. Like, it's cool that all kinds of modern and international foods are available these days, I love all of the diversity, but I feel that the food of the olden days is slowly getting pushed to the sidelines and out of people's mind and it really is a shame. Like, I get it, it often doesn't look very appealing and it often isn't exactly the basis of a healthy diet, but that's because it has its origins in poor people's food. I like how the host put it: it's comfort food, simple but delicious.

German has some Nice spots, but the Example which you showed, are OK but not the Highlights of German Cooking. for Example me (Which lives in NRW-Nordrhein Westfallen) is thinking that Bayern got the most Delicous and Traditonal Kitchen combined. 100% worth checking it out on the next trip. For example Ski houses in Winter season, which you have to Climb first and then Enjoy the most tasty Linsen or bear and stuff like that. But some random host in some Garden. Cmon. Berlin is not Pretty at all Compared to Bayern

She obviously has not even bothered to try more than one Currywurst. Dont listen to her advice. If you want to try a really good Currywurst in Berlin Steglitz, try out "Zur Bratpfanne" in Schloßstraße
