It feels like of the core Muppets, Gonzo’s voice is the one that’s changed the most. Which is really weird because he’s the only one aside from Zoot, Bunsen, and Beauregard who’s never been recast.
Yeah, Season 1 Gonzo was just completely different. I think Dave Goelz was still trying to figure out Gonzo's personality, but revised it when Gonzo was rebuilt for Season 2.
Gonzo’s weary little sigh when he walks past John Cleese -_- Also, as an artist, I can confirm that that is indeed an accurate representation of the creative process
1. 0:47 is my favorite scene from this whole show, it’s the funniest by far. 2. 1:44 because I love the follow-up when Gonzo visits John’s room. Gonzo: “Uh, Mr. Cleese, could I come in?” John Cleese: “Which one are you?” Gonzo: “I’m the ugly, disgusting one who catches cannonballs…” John Cleese: “Ah, yes, come in!”
The clips of Gonzo taking things literally screams Autism as an autistic person and I don't know why Edit: They came back with a proper diagnosis and turns out I don't have Autism, but my mom thinks the diagnosis is wrong
