Muradabadi biryani
Ingredients
For marinating chicken:
Chicken biryani cut 600 gms
Curd 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Bayleaf 2-3 pcs
Star anise 1 pc
Cloves 5-6 pcs
Cinnamon 1 inch
Mace 1 pc
Green cardamom 4-5 pcs
Black cardamom 2 pcs
Black pepper 8-9 pcs
For muradabadi biryani:
Oil 4 tbsp
Onion sliced 1½ cup
Green chilli 3-4 pcs
Salt 1 tsp
Marinated chicken
Salt 1 tsp
Red chilli powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Saunf powder 2 tsp
Water 2 ¾ cup
Green chilli whole 2 pcs
Lemon juice ½ tbsp
Basmati rice soaked 1½ cup
Kewra water ½ tbsp
Ghee ¼ cup
Food colour ½ tsp
