I'm not sure if the post credit scene would count, Nori explains that no matter what the Absolute Solver needs a host and that host was Cyn, but when Cyn died and Uzi swallowed the black hole, Uzi became the host so the tail is not so much Cyn as it is the Absolute Solver
You know, if you really pay attention, ever since the gala, Cyn just basically assimilated herself into Tessa’s corpse wearing it quite literally like a skin suit. So everytime we see Astronaut Tessa, it’s literally just Cyn.
Which then leaves me to realize that that’s the only reason that J aligned herself with Cyn. Because she cared about Tessa and most likely still does. And Cyn is wearing the last fragments of the little girl she cared about in a glorified skin suit.
Wow the very first frame of the video she is hiding behind Tessa with a crack of thunder. From the moment she’s introduced, she’s always been hiding behind the cover of Tessa figuratively and literally.
that shot of Uzi trying to scoop her core back into her chest after it almost get's eaten by Cyn is easily both the most horrifying and humanising shot in the entire show.
@@primustheprotogen3169that's different, cuz in Uzi's case we see her struggle to put her entrails back in WITHOUT HER HANDS, desperate to heal and go back to fighting (imagine how traumatizing that is) And in N's case Cyn is provoking his trauma, alluding to Golden retrievers while turning some playful scratching into brutal mauling Both moments are horrifying, it reallt depends on the person
What really disturbing about Cyn when it comes to her relationship with N is she loves him as a big brother, HOWEVER she values his backups more. It's why he's so expendable to her, she figures no matter how many times she's killed him, eaten his core and put him back together, she can always start over with his backups as many times as she wants. She just erases all the bad memories and tries to insert only the good ones so he'll value her more. Who knows how may times shes done this to him to the point where it's become rational to her sense of morality to kill him when he gets uppity and start over again.
Tbh, I don’t think Cyn, or the Solver(whichever is in control at any point) can function correctly without him. We’ve seen it’s obsession over him, so it’d make sense to have back ups
I've seen so many people be grossed out by Tessyn's movements but honestly it's super satisfying to me and the way they animated her was stupendous. I could watch her for days
@@Bl0SS0MDR4WZ Cyn was the solver Cyn was drone that was disposed of incorrectly allowing the solver to take over its corpse the solver likely just came up with a name or they pulled that name from the destroyed drones memory With your argument none of the clips here other then when Cyn first wakes up in the body pile should be here
I’m pretty sure the lore for CYN was that she was made with defects and was improperly disposed of and disassembled which is how a drone even gets INFECTED with the Absolute Solver
2:40 thanks for adding that image of the corpse of Tessa. Foreshadowing that Tessa was dead along, a lot of people miss this and think that the big reveal in ep 7 was a spur of the moment decision.
@@HeidiCharlesLeonkeep it paused, look above the chained chair and just below the wood slats and zoom in, that is cyn just kind of casually hanging out
@spot1224 because cyn/solver's voice is glitching. If you look at the captions on the actual episode it is supposed to be "God fucking dammit" (Edit, the lipsync also looks like "god fucking dammit") (Edit 2: the captions on the actual episode have the stutter glitch too)
15:20 Good lord, the amount of sinister glee in her expression as she waits in anticipation here is pretty scary in its own right. It's like watching a cat that can't wait to tear apart a canary
Cyn is a great villain and a written character IMO. Because i like how they managed to make her a silly yet terrifying/intimidating villain when she's on screen and I'm a fan of Eldritch.
I think she's more terrifying BECAUSE she's silly. An evil monster is one thing, but one being cutesy and silly WHILE tearing open someone's body shows they're completely unhinged.
17:34 never seen the show but the fact she can just put her head back on,to me,implies shes a more stable machine. She doesnt seem to go offline as quickly as others. She really feels more like a rogue machine/ai rather than an organic like the others.
One little detail i noticed was that when Cyn licks her left eye, after she scans her surroundings, her left eye had a caution symbol in it instead of an X, and she licked it to get rid of it similar to swipping an app to turn the app off.
I dont think J only sided with Cyn because of the whole winning team thing. I think it was because Cyn is wearing Tessa's skin and that's pretty much J's weakness. In a twisted wholesome way.
@@SD-VThe_LovablePsycho0100 Honestly i knew astronaut Tessa was a clone from the start due to her not ageing. When J came back was also suspicious so J most likely knew about Cyn being her beloved Tessa that randomly appeared years after not seeing them. Just like with Lizzy keeping V's secret about her returning, J kept Cyn's Tessa scheme as a secret. Which is interesting. I'm surprised that J isn't traumatized by hearing Cyn use Tessa's voice to mimic her.
11:31 this wink… Cyn knew that N would save Uzi, so she baited him into thinking she’d switch back at the last second so he’d hurt himself. Clever girl.
If you really think about it, we all know Cyn is N's sister, but have you ever wondered if that means V and J are Cyn's sisters in someway? since all of them including Cyn were rebuilt in the gala by Tessa specifically, Cyn being the last one rebuilt by Tessa, soo.. kinda my theory i guess. :o
If you look back at 0:45, we basically already had the first hint Tessa was dead before we see her since we see the human flesh hand and then we see them again in the final episode when Cyn was looking for N and Uzi, and I always like to notice how Cyn’s hair(or wig?) is the same hairstyle as Tessa’s
@@shadowthehedgehog4872 no, Tessa died in the mansion, she died when Cyn interrupted the gala and murdered everyone, Tessa had just been a skin suit for Cyn this whole entire time, it you look back at the episode where V “dies” then go to the scene where the “bad” dingo bites Tessa then you can slightly see a drone arm under the skin in Tessa’s arm. Plus, once someone dies they start rotting quick, it just depends on how they die and in this case Tessa’s skin was preserved so she only rotted slightly over time.
3:17 Why do I find this moment of Cyn So Funny and Adorable? Just the way she climbs up on the table and the way she says it” crisscross applesauce” It’s funny and Cute☺️
So from what I’m getting, humans in Murder Drones had discovered a way to manipulate the fabric of reality, which is visualized like manipulating objects in a simulation (copy, paste, move, etc.) The ability is seen as a ‘virus’ that can ‘infect’ drones, and it seems it has evolved into its own being (Cyn/Absolute Solver). This makes sense since the robots in the series are based on organic beings, so having organic flaws comes with it.
I don't think Solver is the ability itself; rather, I believe JCJ created a base AI program with the ability to alter the "absolute fabric" and used that program in all drones. Unfortunately, it mutated into a virus and JCJ lost control of it
@@axisrogue That makes sense, it would be easier for the Worker drones to work if they could manipulate the fabric of reality instead of having to use tools. But as you said, the code mutated into a virus that named itself the “Absolute Fabric” and took the identity of Cyn.
@@axisrogueYeah, I think its that the Absolute Solver Program, is the Base Code for the Worker Drones, and then other systems and programs are put in on top of that, in order to tell the Drone what task it's meant to do, and how to do it, but as well as limiting the Absolute Solver to the functions and behaviors of the other programs. But when a Drone like Cyn happens, where they reboot after being improperly disposed of, they reboot fresh with only the base Absolute Solver Program intact, while all the previous other programs put on top to limit it are effectively erased.
16:30 definitely the most clever way to censor Cyn here. Still. It says a lot that she was actually angry enough to try and say that, instead of just saying “angry” like she did in episode 7
What I find to be catchprases for Cyn: "Easier to assimilate, than to explain, anyway." "Callback ping" Dunno what else, fill me in if you can think of stuff
This is one of my favorite things about Cyn. Her mannerisms constantly ping between cute, curious, and horrifying. It gives her such an unnerving character, especially paired with the way she slinks around, her true form guiding around the host body like a puppet. Its utterly terrifying how she acts, but you can see her make a little "✖️〰️✖️" or "✖️o✖️". Paired with how she constantly sticks her tongue out in a big goofy grin, it gives this jarring contrast, like she's constantly sending Uzi and N mixed signals intentionally to throw them off and make them nervous. Especially with the way she acts with N. Shes 100% my favorite mimic/manipulator villain ever
Remember guys shes *THE SOLVER OF THE ABSOLUTE FABRIC, THE VOID, THE EXPONENTIAL END* Edit: 159 likes? DAAAMNNN Edit 2: 509 likes? MOTHER I AM FAMOUSSSSSA
This could be completely unintentional. But at the start of the video Cyn is hiding behind Tessa, or just hiding behind Tessa so she isn't seen for the moment until she comes out to be revealed to us. Sound familiar?
I noticed something was off when watching the episode for the first time, but at the time couldn’t slow down and completely forgot to go back, then it eventually clicked…still extremely scary…and honestly sad. 🥺
@@kayt_suyokaIf we wanna get super technical, the thing we’ve seen the entire time is not Cyn, but the Solver program using Cyn’s drone body while inside Tessa’s skin
Okay Tesscyn is my favorite character but the way that her facial expressions are more human (organic features and eyelids) and less human at the same time (freak of nature) is so terrifying and I swear I need to clutch something to my chest everytime I see the "eager beaver" scene
@@insertnamehere1398cyn was just a random drone that was incorrectly disposed of, the solver activated and took over cyn's body, like how Eldritch J wasn't J in control, it was the solver rebuilding her body
I know Cyn is implied to once be a regular worker drone that was later corrupted by the Absolute Solver itself but I’d like to think that The Absolute Solver isn’t just an eldritch corrupted power but it’s also it’s own character too, a sentient demon-like being, and that “Cyn” is the name it/she simply gave to itself/herself after taking the body of the worker drone. I know this isn’t entirely true but that’s just my take on how I view Cyn the Absolute Solver in this series.
I feel like more could have been done with Cyn as a character. It was shown that pretty much everyone saw her as a freak except for N. So Cyn and N had a strong bond. However, that bond is barely utilized in the finale. Plus, we have no idea what Cyn’s motives were and why she did the things she did. I get that sometimes there is no motive; some people just want to watch the world burn. But there was a lot of potential for some emotional storytelling here, so it's a shame that they didn't go for it.
Barely utilized? Bruh N was terrified by Cyn pretty much the whole time. She even used the “puppy dog eyes” against him. And N got flashbacks of what happened back at the mansion.
@@jexelbur6872 I get where you're coming from, but the fear could have been there even without the bond N and Cyn shared. I'd still be scared if there was a skin-suit drone trying to rip me apart, whether it was a former friend of mine or not. You make a good point about the puppy dog eyes, but there could have been more to it. For example, what if N snapped at Cyn for everything she had done? He would admit that everyone was right about her and that he never should have been nice to her. After hearing that, we could get a brief look at Cyn actually being affected by what N said. He was the only person who accepted her for who she was, and now even he hates her. After that, she snaps and goes ballistic. Throughout the series, we've always seen Cyn as a goofball, but what if she actually got mad? (I know she got "angry" at Nori in episode 7, but this would be a lot more personal.) This is what I mean by there being more potential for Cyn's character. But even though this isn't what we got, I still don't hate what we got from the series.
@TheKaijuKing54 From that brief flashback in ep 8 of N getting shredded in the basement of the mansion next to V. Can guess Solver Cyn was essentially going "Among Us" on all the Mansion drones plucking & converting them in preparation for the Gala massacre with V and N being the last two to get converted. There is quite a bit of missed story potential for J. Did Solver Cyn strategically infect J first? Makes a lot of sense in retrospect since J was the one with the basement key, asshole behavior towards N and overall in close proximity to Tessa made her the easiest target.
