They sneaked up to my bedroom around 3am, thought I was asleep, but I heard some noises and saw someone creeping around my bed. I ram out the room and grabbed the biggest knife in the kitchen which I know scared the suspect knowing that they had a smaller knife to kill me so it would look like a suicide. I have witnesses who were on the phone during the whole time and heard everything that happened that night. The ex-wife left the house with my daughter a week before it happened and disabled the house cameras. I white van tried to pick up the suspect that was in the house but got scared once they saw me on the phone. The cops came and didn't search much and I was explaining to them that it was real, but they left the scene pretty quick. Right after they left one of the suspects chased me down the streets until I was able to get to the nearest gas station. They also had a shirt of mine that wax coiled for choking. Hard to type right now because I'm reliving that moment as I type.
The extremely casual nature that this woman was plotting his murder is astounding to me. It was like she was planning a weekend getaway or something. Thank God these people get caught. This is so terrifying.

Listen, back when there was hardly any technical advantages in society, people who did kill their spouse ( and there were still lots of them) never ever got caught because they could easily come up with a story of how their spouse ran off with someone else… blah blah blah while he or she is literally underneath the ground their walking on. Thank goodness for technology. It shows us more and more every day what’s been going on forever.
I remember watching the Dalia Dippolito case on Cops. She tried getting him in trouble with the law by planting drugs in his car and calling the police on him anonymously, an officer stopped and searched his car telling him there had been a call pointing to him having drugs. Cop didn't find them but he did later when he stopped to get gas and found them in the gas cap. When that didn't work she tried to get a hitman, but with her luck it ended up being an undercover officer. She was going to pass it off as a home invasion gone bad, resulting in him dying. He would be vulnerable since he was recovering from back surgery and wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight. In the end cops told him of her plans and she put on a terrible act of a grieving widow, but she ended up being sentenced to 20yrs in prison.

I am actually glad that these people make the mistake of telling or asking some people if they know someone and thankfully those people have the good sense to go to the police.

It does seem that way, but actually it is the other way around. There are more people living today at a higher standard than ever before in history. That's not to say that poverty, crime and conflict don't still exist, because of course they do. But because cameras are everywhere we see images of the awful and horrible more often than small, common acts of kindness and compassion. For every violent act or crime there are a thousand kind words or acts that go unnoticed all around us all the time, they just don't make the news. why would they?

The last few years of my marriage my wife seemed to distance herself from me more and more, it was as if she avoided me every chance she got. She told me in her own words after we had decided to end our marriage that she had been thinking about killing me for a while. Keep in mind it was she who wanted a divorce, and after much suffering and mental anguish by me and the children I finally gave in to her request. After she made that statement, I instantly remembered two occasions in recent years when I thought I was on my death bed. Both times lasted about a week, I was a 235 pound construction worker who didn't smoke, use drugs, or even drink beer. Both times I was pretty much out of it and couldn't even stand up without becoming very dizzy having no real sense of balance. Later on I watched some episodes of forensic files where family members had poisoned their spouses etc. Pretty sure she may have poisoned me more than once, but being a stubborn strong man who had three young children at home with a strong reason and will to live I managed to survive.

She pleaded guilty to soliciting a murder and got 5-20 years. But the shocking part is that her husband totally forgave her and asked the judge for leniency, saying she's a "godly" person who only did an "ungodly" thing. Not even kidding.

You know, I came across many articles today of parents beating their children to death, a bus driver who kidnapped three girls, and two different cases of wives attempting to have their husbands murdered. If you can't trust your parents, the bus driver, your spouse, who can you trust? Smh.
