It wasn't until Shady Records (co-founded by Paul & Eminem) that took chance on him. It was Eminem who wanted to sign 50 despite the beef w/ Ja Rule and other companies not wanting him. Em thought 50 was great and signed him anyway. This is the reason why Ja threatened Dr. Dre and Eminem on Hot97 saying not to let 50 release anymore diss track towards him. Despite the threat Shady let 50 keep releasing diss against Ja. This was when Ja declare war against the whole Shady Records and release Loose Change where he even drag Em's daughter. This didn't seat well with Em and he gave the go signal for the whole Shady Records to go drag Ja Rule down. Now what really ruined Ja Rule's career is Eminem & his Shady Records. It's not because of the diss but because of his power in the industry back then. When the Ja vs 50 beef started in late 90s people are actually leaning more towards Ja Rule. But when Shady signed 50, it became more equal. Some are on Ja's side and some on 50s. But it wasn't until he drag Em on the beef and even drag Hailie that truly ruined his career. Literally the whole Shady Records go at him hard after that, all of Eminem fans are dragging Ja left & right (and Em was at the top back then!), and even non-fans was hating on him for dragging a then 6 years old Hailie who had nothing to do with the beef. Even the media was painting him on bad light. Some radio stations even stop playing his music. This hurt Ja Rule's career the most. So bottom line is what truly ruined Ja Rule and Murder Inc. is Eminem's and Shady Records influence and power in the industry back then. Not the diss tracks. If he never drag Em and Hailie on the beef the industry would have never shunned him or force to choose between the top selling rapper back then vs Ja Rule. Em back then just was at the top of his career because of 8 mile and he just won Oscar (the first hip hop artist to ever do so!) so ofcourse it was no brainier that the radio stations, the media and the industry as a whole would choose him. If it would have just been Ja vs 50 then both would have survive the beef.

Imo Shady Records and G-Unit won lyrically on the mics but Murder Inc dominated and won on the streets physically. But Ja Rule nor Black Child, Irv and Chris Gotti/Lorenzo or the other rappers from the Murder Inc. Record label group would've stood a chance against 50 Cent Solo mano a mano in a true fair and straight up one on one street brawl without weapons. Although Ja Rule and Black Child and other Murder Inc underground artists from the Murder Inc record label might've fought dirty using objects as melee weapons and could've held their own for a minute but no chance against 50 Cent mano a mano. 50 Cent was an amateur club boxer and amateur Golden Gloves champion prizefighter in his prime and early teenage youth growing up on the streets of South Jamaica, Queens, New York City. In the state of New York a judge will automatically file a protection order if a victim is assaulted. Supreme Mcgriff himself states 50 wasn't a rat. He dry snitched on his track Ghetto Quar'an inadvertently and unintentionally. All the names 50 dropped were the names of people already dead or doing life in prison. Eminem hired all ex-military and ex-C.I.A. Bodyguards and security guards and wore bullet -proof vests everywhere he went. Ten or twelve murder Inc affiliated or associated street goons and gangbangers associated or aligned with Murder Inc jumped Big Proof in the Miami, Florida at the Rolex nightclub and mildly battered him but the bouncers and strippers pulled Proof away to safety. 50 Cent and Eminem won lyrically but Murder Inc dominated on the streets. I always liked Murda inc disses better they just hit harder. Shady aftermath got all quiet when Hussein fatal dissed them. Em one of my favorites but I don't think they were prepared for Tupac's right hand to join up with Murda inc. but who cares 50s too sensitive he whined and cried when his man preferred ja music over his, he whined and cried when jadakiss did the new York track with ja and dissed kiss which resulted into the lox destroying g unit on wax and g unit and 50 have never been the same musically since.
